Production Log-Film Poster With the use of Photoshop I assembled my film poster. To construct the image for my poster I started of with two images of the male actor playing “Kwame” one which he has hood up and the second with his hood down. To eliminate the aspect of the photo which I did not want I used a combination the Magnetic Laso tool and the Laso tool. Then I used a combination of layering different opacity versions of each image and using the blending tool “Linear Dodge” this was part of a trial and error process until I reached the desired effect the final image looked like so: I choose a white filter for my background. Then I inserted my strap line, to fit the page proportions I used a range of tools, one which alters the width between each letter and the other which increases the length of selected characters: Then I went on to change the colour of the font to one which matches the accents in the title.

Then I used a combination of layering different opacity versions of each image and using the blending tool “Linear Dodge” this was part of a trial and error process until I reached the desired effect the final image looked like so:

I choose a white filter for my background.

Then I inserted my strap line, to fit the page proportions I used a range of tools, one which alters the width between each letter and the other which increases the length of selected characters:

Then I went on to change the colour of the font to one whichmatches the accents in the title. The font was from www.dafonts.com and was called “Madman howling”.

To construct the credits for my film poster I aimed to follow the codes and conventions of similar media products. I used one font “Corbel” http://www.dafont.com/corbel.font however to get the desired look I varied the size of the names and the roles of each individual, using the character style function. Once I had completely adjusted the credits I flatten the layer and used the place tool to add to my film poster.

Then I inserted the release date and the website for the film. I again used the font “Corbel” http://www.dafont.com/corbel.font in which i changed the colour to match the colour scheme.
