Fuel Company of Rosatom TVEL is a part of a vertically integrated structure of Russian atomic sector. Fuel Company TVEL joins pro-duction and scientific assets in the sphere of nuclear fuel fabrica-tion, separating and sublimate complex, and also production of gas centrifuges and equipment for them.

Fuel Company TVEL was established for the purpose of achieving optimal management structure of enterprises of nuclear fuel cycle. The Company was created to increase effectiveness of their work and competitiveness on the global market.

FC TVEL considers the following lines of development to be per-spective: production of competitive, high technology, general indus-try products for atomic and other branches of industry: zirconium, lithium, calcium, magnets, thin-walled seamless pipes, polishing powders, tribe-apparatus, ceolite catalysts and other materials.

Machine-building industry of the Fuel Company “TVEL” has a large stock of metalworking, electroplating, welding and other equipment of leading world producers: CENTURY, Sod-ick (USA), MITSUI SEIKI, CITIZEN (Japan), SMS MEER (Ger-many), Agie, Strausak (Switzerland), GALVOUR (Sweden) etc. The latest machining centres, CNC machines, equipment for water jet, plasma and laser cutting, 5-axis machines for tools manufacture, spring-coiling equipment.

A wide range of equipment enables all the necessary range of work: • blanking works• casting• machine tool work• welding• heat treatment• electro-ceramics• heating equipment• metal plating• forging• gumming and lining etc.

Techniques and equipmentTool production of the Fuel Company “TVEL” is equipped

with machines of modern modifications. High-precision equip-ment stock for turning, milling, grinding, jig-boring, jig- grind-ing, optical grinding and EDM allows to achieve high quality stamps, mould and other tools.

For tools manufacturing special steel produces by the world’s leading manufacturers (including group Bohler-Ud-deholm) is used, as well as subsequent methods for harden-ing: carbonitrating, intensifier surface hardening, isothermal hardening, normalization, application of hard coatings etc.

years of practical experience in designing, establishing, implementing, upgrading and maintenance of technical control devices, emergency protection, equipment and automated control systems, companies power supply, non-standardized measuring means, the development of measurement techniques based on modern methods of control. Techniques and equipmentChemical plants of Fuel Company “TVEL”, aimed at getting

high purity metals and materials for the nuclear industry, pre-sent chemical complex. These plants are staffed with highly qualified personnel, equipped with unique equipment that al-lows to effectively implement new technologies and develop existing ones.

The technologies of valuable components extraction such as Li, Zr, Hf, U by means of extraction, distillation, recrystalliza-tion and ion exchange.

The enterprise of OJSC “PO “Electrochemical Plant” has a unique stable isotopes production by gas centrifuge meth-od. Production presents a complete technology cycle from receipt of the working substance, separation processes of stable isotopes in gas centrifuges to obtaining commodity forms of stable isotopes, required for consumers, from gas semi-products. The applied method of isotope separation al-lows obtaining products with the utmost enrichment degree and high chemical purity, gives a price competitive advantage; and the available production capacity allows to manufacture the desired isotope products in large quantities. The plant pro-duces 95 isotopes of 19 chemical elements.

There is a full range of modern testing and measuring equipmentMeasuring and technique means are developed, and their

certification is conducted with assistance of leading research centres.
