Infrastructure security measures to protect against network and data threats

What is it– Simple Network Management Protocol is a

standard for managing devices on IP networks (device status, counters, fault monitoring, etc.)

– SMNP data also includes IP addresses and device configuration data that is potentially harmful if compromised

– SNMP V3 addresses issues related to the large-scale deployment of SNMP, accounting, and fault management.

– Encrypts data communication to protect against “man in the middle” attacks

How Equitrac uses SNMP v3– Equitrac uses SNMP data for DME activity, device

counting, and configuration steps like printer port conversion

What’s New– All SNMP traffic into and through Equitrac

5.5 Lifecycle Planning

• Equitrac Office v5.5 will be latest maintenance release of the V5.x product

– Customers with upgrade licenses and active M&S can upgrade from EOv4.2.6 directly to EOv5.5.

– Before updating to Equitrac Office 5.5, you must ensure you have received updated serial numbers to activate for Equitrac Office 5.5.

– Equitrac Office 4.x serial numbers will not activate with the Equitrac Office 5.5 and during upgrade your Equitrac Office 4.x licenses will be removed.

• Equitrac Office 5.5 upgrade is not supported from versions of Equitrac Office 4.2.5 or previous. The software will need to be upgraded to Equitrac Office 4.2.6 or later before upgrading to 5.5.
