There are different types of this paper depending on material, number of the layers, the size of the sheet.• Continuous paper is made of 70 g/m2 offset paper. Carbon layer is included if there is more than one layer.• The layers can be between 1 and 4. All of them can be white or colored. The top layer can carry a sign – ORIGINAL for example.• The length of the sheet is the space between two perforations along the whole length of the paper. You can very easy tear one sheet apart. There are 3 standard lengths – 6, 11 and 12 inches. All will fit in standard or wide carriage printers.• The width of the sheet is the space between two holes along the width of the paper. The printer uses these holes to move the paper forward.

Toner - dry ink powder (carbon and polymer) which has been electrically charged. Used in printers, fax machines and copiers. Generally the image is translated into bit mapped charges of the opposite polarity on a special drum in the printer. The toner is attracted to the charged areas, where it is transferred to paper. The toner is then "set“ (adhered to media), usually by heat.Toners are available in cartridges or bottles.

The most common type of toner based printer is the laser printer, which uses precision lasers to cause adherence. Laser printers are known for high quality prints, good print speed, and a low cost-per-copy.

Inkjet (bubble-jet) print technology is the most common consumer print technology as high-quality inkjet printers are inexpensive to produce. Some known as photo printers, include extra pigments to better reproduce the color gamut needed for high-quality photographic prints.

Virtually all modern inkjet printers are color devices.

Advantages:• almost silent in operation• low initial cost

A dot matrix printer refers to a type of computer printer with a print head that runs back and forth on the page and prints by impact. Striking an ink-soaked cloth ribbon against the paper. Because the printing involves mechanical pressure, these printers can create carbon copies and carbonless copies. As the ink is running out, the printout gradually fades rather than suddenly stopping part way through a job.

Advantages:• lowest printing cost per page. • use of continuous paper useful for data logging.

•In essence copy separation is based on size, colors and paper type. First we determine the size – is it A4, A3 and etc. Then - if it’s in grayscale or full color. Adding together the price of the paper sheet and the price of the copy itself will form the total price.

•Other important factor that determines price is number of sides. Single or double sided copies. Doubled prices on double sided copies.

•Good practice is the presence of two copy machines. A black and white machine used for all copy volumes and another used primarily for color copies.

•Essentially copy price is formed by any combination of paper size, color, paper type and number of sides.
