Test Configuration Description Comments regarding product geometry and mounting:

Testing in integrating sphere (08-37-01 A & B) was performed on each lamp separately using 120VAC.. Testing in goniophotometry was performed with lamps mounted in troffers representative of fixtures in which these replacements could be installed. 08-17-02 was performed with lamps A & B installed in a lensed troffer with the ballast disabled. 08-17-03 was performed with lamps A & B installed in a parabolic troffer with the ballast disabled.

Color Quality CRI values are reported below with the reminder that, in certain cases, a light source may be acceptable, and even preferred, by users for given applications even though its CRI value is relatively low. Readers are urged to be aware of the complexities of assessing color quality and aware of the limitations of CRI with regard to SSL technologies.1,2 Alternative metrics are under development. In the meantime, qualitative visual assessment by human observers may provide additional insight regarding the suitability of color quality of a luminaire for a given application.

CALiPER 08-37-02 Goniophotometer

DATA WAS ACQUIRED USING THE CALIBRATED PHOTODETECTOR METHOD OF ABSOLUTE PHOTOMETRY. A UDT MODEL #211 PHOTODETECTOR AND UDT MODEL #S370 OPTOMETER COMBINATION WERE USED AS A STANDARD. A SPECTRAL MISMATCH CORRECTION FACTOR WAS EMPLOYED BASED ON THE SPECTRAL RESPONSIVITY OF THE PHOTODETECTOR AND THE SPECTRAL POWER DISTRIBUTION OF THE TEST SUBJECT.

THIS TEST WAS CONDUCTED USING RELATIVE PHOTOMETRY TECHNIQUES ACCORDING TO STANDARD IESNA PROCEDURES. THE USER MUST THEREFORE USE CAUTION IN THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS: 1) THIS TEST WAS PERFORMED USING A SPECIFIC BALLAST/LAMP COMBINATION. EXTRAPOLATION OF THESE DATA FOR OTHER BALLAST/LAMP COMBINATIONS MAY PRODUCE ERRONEOUS RESULTS. 2) ACCORDING TO IESNA PROCEDURES, THE BALLAST(S) AND LAMP(S) ARE PRESUMED TO PRODUCE 100% OF RATED OUTPUT. AN APPROPRIATE BALLAST FACTOR MUST BE APPLIED TO THE LUMEN OUTPUT RATINGS AND LUMINOUS INTENSITY VALUES GIVEN. 3) THIS TEST WAS CONDUCTED IN A CONTROLLED LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAS HELD AT 25°C ±1°C.
