Maintenance ExplainedYou will never have to sand, paint or varnish our buildings ever! On average if you buy a wooden Pavilion or Summerhouse you will need to pay a professional around £150 per year in labour to properly paint your wooden building, before buying paint. Our buildings will not rot, and will not blow away in storms. Termites don’t attack our buildings. An annual but gentle spray with a hose pipe and a wipe down is all it needs to keep fresh looking.

ECO FloorThe Nordic ECO floor is an innovative, strong, interlocking system that is installed onto a concrete base or concrete flags.

The Nordic ECO floor provides a firm, strong, long lasting and well drained floor system for your building. It also allows you to install electric cabling to any part of your garden building.

The Nordic ECO floor is pre-cut specifically to the Nordic Garden Building of your choice.

Dwarf Walls ExplainedMany people like to sit their Greenhouse or Orangerie onto a small dwarf wall? This will require a qualified builder to prepare the wall to our exact measurements ready to take our Building. We do not offer this service but can reduce the size of your building to fit onto a dwarf wall.

Colour Both SidesAll our buildings come finished internally in white, no matter what colour you choose for the exterior. If you want your interior colour to match your exterior colour you need to choose this option.

PLEASE NOTE: all our buildings are white on the inside. When you order a colour product it will have the colour on the exterior only, the inside will still be white. If you require the same colour on the interior this can only be done in Golden Oak and Rosewood. Please speak to your sales adviser who will inform you off the additional cost.

Roof Types ExplainedYou have a choice of 3 roof options.

Polycarbonate is the best value roof material and is found on all our Scanline Range. It is able to retain heat and stops sun glare.

Tile Effect roof made from fibreglass. It is designed to look like roof tiles and is available in 3 colours.

Deluxe glass reflects 3 x more solar energy than standard glass, excellent u-value rating and reduces the effect of harmful UV rays allowing greater protection of your furniture and fabrics.

What is the difference betweenScanline and Nordic rangesThe two ranges differ in one vital way. Every product in the Nordic range includes an integral, load bearing guttering system. The gutter forms part of the structure of the building. This gives all products in the Nordic range incredible strength. This is one of the reasons why our garden buildings are the only PVC-u product that can meet and exceed the tough legislation in Scandinavia, where buildings have to hold 3 tonnes of snow before they can be sold. The Scanline range of products do not have the integral guttering system.

Our Scanline Canopy is a self-supporting system which includes wall plate, structural eaves gutter, glazing bars, 2.5m or 3.0 supporting posts (option of 3m posts if you need a higher canopy), polycarbonate roof panels and all fixtures and fittings

Add a supporting post to the glass or polycarbonate roof when over 2 meters long and at 2 meter intervals Glass options include extra support post. Available with 10 degree or 15 degree pitch. Standard pitch is 10 degree.

ECO Floor

The Nordic Eco Floor system is an innovative solution for your new garden building. Traditionally a garden building would be installed directly onto a concrete base therefore restricting the flooring options available. Now you can have whichever floor you desire inside your new garden room i.e. Karndean, Ceramic Tile, Laminate, vinyl or even wooden floor. The Nordic ECO Floor changes everything, you now have the ability to install your perfect floor without the worry of water damage, therefore having complete peace of mind knowing the inside of your new garden room from Nordic Garden Buildings will be long lasting and looking beautiful for years to come. Each Nordic Garden Building has a specifically designed, pre-cut ECO floor installed prior to the building installation. Once laid, the ECO floor becomes an integral part of the garden building structure, improving the insulation values of our garden rooms even more.

RequirementsYou must have a professionally prepared, flat (spirit level flat) base for the Nordic ECO Floor and Nordic Garden Building to be installed onto. If the foundation base is not level, this could delay the install of your new Nordic Garden Building.

For many years Modplan and Nordic Garden Buildings have been committed to a strong environmental policy, taking responsibility for the core material we deal with on a day to day basis. Working with suppliers, we manage and help in minimising the environmental impact of PVC-u across Europe. Supplier partnerships for materials are increasingly important, we are fully committed to a program that ensures we work with the largest global PVC-u suppliers, partly down to their investment in purpose built recycling facilities in Germany. A significant feature of their facility is the ability to recycle old PVC-u frames into new materials for NEW frames. A total recycling system that offers a closed loop solution which in theory extends a frame life from ‘years’ to …. Forever. We are part of the of a recycling program which is now the largest initiative of its kind in the UK and Europe, aimed at collecting and processing old PVC-u frames for recycling in Germany. We have been certified and awarded the ISO14001 environmental certificate but prior to this our environmental policy and commitment successfully delivered the Welsh Environment Marquee, we were initially awarded the Green Dragon Level 2 certification, although our successful certification of the ISO14001 is the equivalent to Green Dragon level 5. CE MarkingAs of July 2013 windows and doors are CE marked and are compliant with requirements of EN 14351-1: Part 1 Windows and external pedestrian door sets.

As of July 2014 Nordic Garden Buildings are compliant with the requirements of EN 1090-1: Part1 Steel and aluminium component structures, and up to Execution Level 1 of EN 1090-2: Part 2 Structural steel components and up to Execution Level 1 of EN 1090-3: Part 3 Structural Aluminium components.

The above regulations require a signed Declaration of Conformity/ Performance which is available upon request.

These regulations are part of the Construction Product Regulation, which replaces the Construction Product Directive.

Nordic Garden Buildings Quality Team receive our CE mark certification from a recognised Notified Body, British Board of Agrément.

The UK’s first manufacturer of PVC-u, steel and aluminium component Garden Building’s to achieve this CE certification.
