Although long term sensor stability and ROTRONIC are now almost synonymous, we still recommend that our customers calibrate their ROTRONIC probes regularly – once a year is typically suggested.

Why is calibration important?Humidity and temperature measuring instruments are precision instruments that must be serviced regularly to maintain reliability. Measuring errors can cause substantial product damage during production and storage. In-company and national/international standards require companies subject to ISO standards to have their measuring instruments calibrated regularly.Regulators such as the FDA in the USA, *EMEA and Swissmedic also demand that measuring instruments are calibrated verifiably to national standards.

Calibration optionsa) Calibration by ROTRONIC We have a calibration laboratory accredited by the Swiss organisation *METAS for the parameters of relative humidity and temperature. We can offer you calibration services and SCS (Swiss Calibration Service) certificates verifiable to the national standard.b) You can calibrate your measuring instruments yourself – with your own calibration device and SCS-certified standards.c) We come to you – our calibration mobile will save you lots of time and work.

HygroGen humidity and temperature calibratorMany customers already use our HygroGen humidity generators to calibrate their humidity measuring instruments themselves. In some European countries our customers can benefit from our unique on-site calibration service. One advantage of this service is that a large number of instruments can be calibrated and, if necessary, adjusted in a short time. Another is the minimisation of instrument downtime and reduction in administrative work for the customer.

ROTRONIC humidity standardsROTRONIC humidity standards are an inexpensive alternative when you only have a few probes to calibrate. They consist of unsaturated salt solutions that generate the humidity value required in a ROTRONIC calibration device.

Our calibration mobile is only available in certain European countries.
