CDR® System Version 17.0 Software and Hardware

What’s new for CDR Version 17.0?

Many new changes were added to 17.0 including support for the 2017 Karma Revero (US/Canada) and the addition of 2 new CDR cables. Additional coverage for model year 2017 and prior vehicles were added for supported regions as summerized below. Additional coverage details can be found in the vehicle and cable look up section of the CDR help file.

General CDR Application Changes

` To help protect your subscription from software piracy, the CDR Tool subscriber’s Company Name will now be included in CDR reports.

` Bentley (US Market) – 2017 Bentayga (requires CDR 500 Adapter and

` BMW ACM 5 Cable, ID 822

P/N: 1699200383 - Use this new CDR cable for direct-to-module imaging of MY2016 and newer BMW 7 series and future BMW vehicles which require the CDR 500 Adapter.

` Karma ACM Cable, ID 824

P/N: 1699200440 - Use this new CDR cable for direct-to-module imaging of MY2017 and newer Karma Revero.

Minimum PC Hardware RequirementsTo install and run the CDR software, your PC must meet the minimum hardware requirements listed below:

– Processor Speed: 1GHZ or faster – RAM: 256MB or more – Disk Space: 100MB or more – Video Resolution: 1028 x 768 or higher – 2 open USB ports (one for CDR interface and the

other for CDR500, both drives must be enabled to read USB mass storage devices)

Supported Operating SystemsThis version of CDR software is currently supported on the following US Windows® operating systems:

– Windows XP® (Home and Pro for PCs, 32 & 64 bit)

– Windows Vista® (32 & 64 bit)

– Windows® 7/8/8.1/10 (32 & 64 bit)

Software Compatibility with the CDR Interface ModuleThis software version is compatible only with the blue and green metal CDR interface module marked with a CAN plus logo on its label. Other versions of the CDR module (black plastic or blue units without the CAN plus logo) are not supported and can cause the software not to function as intended. To purchase a current CDR Interface Module (P/N: F00K108954), please contact your local CDR Sales Representative.

Is Your CDR System Hardware Up to Date?To take full advantage of this new software version, you need to obtain the new CDR Cables released up through CDR version 17.0. You also need to make sure your CDR hardware is up to date. If your CDR Tool has not been updated recently, refer to the Checklist for v17.0 which can be found

on the Bosch Diagnostics CDR website located at http://www.boschdiagnostics.com/testequipment/CDR/Pages/CDRHome.aspx. Contact your CDR Sales Representative if you have any questions about the CDR products or you need to order new hardware or a software subscription.
