Professional SupportSince qualifying in 2006, Debra has worked as an Occupational Therapist in health and social care settings both in community and inpatient environments. After three years on a mixed NHS and Social Care rotation, Debra moved to Brent local authority where she worked for 5 years. From 2014 Debra split her time between 3 roles; her role at Accora, managing her own case load in the private sector, and until March 2019 supporting Barnet Local authority’s equipment provision service. As part of the Barnet role, Debra took the lead on implementing recommendations on how to manage a more cost-effective service and on authorising all high cost and new special equipment.Debra’s role at Accora involves using her clinical knowledge and experience to inform product development and to provide training from a clinical perspective on Accora’s product range. In addition, Debra supports customers with client specific queries and by sharing her experiences of her role in Barnet and as a practicing OT. Debra can help authorities develop issuing criteria and sign off guidance for local authorities that need help in these areas.

The height of the head and footboard when FloorBed® 2 is at full height is 1100 mm

The low head and foot-board enable access for care tasks such as hair care and lower limb dressing

This will facilitate access to sliding sheets at the head or foot of the bed allowing single carer use to reposition a person up or down the bed.

The FloorBed® 2 raises to 800 mm enabling carers to complete care tasks at an appropriate height.

Arthur is 72 years old and lives with his wife and two children. In 2012, Arthur experience a fall from a height of 4 feet causing fracture to C2 and C3 of his spinal cord and resulting in paralysis from shoulders down.
