6.5 Creedmoor loaded with Scenar and Naturalis bullets for Sport Shooting and Hunting! 6.5 CREEDMOOR 8,0 G / 123 GR OTM SCENAR

6.5 Creedmoor loaded with our 8.0 g / 123 gr Scenar projectiles will reliably acquire targets out to 600 yards and beyond. This new mid-range offering will satisfy the demanding needs of precision shooters competing in a variety of disciplines, as well as many tactical applications for Mil/LE departmental use. The Scenar projectile’s sleek profile, high ballistic coefficient (BC), and purposed SAAMI/CIP cartridge overall length (COAL) will reliably function and feed through any of today’s leading box-style magazine applications, including ever-popular polymer style mags, without compromising accuracy at the target. The Lapua loaded 6.5 Creedmoor is destined to satisfy those with a Passion for Precision.

6.5 CREEDMOOR 9,1 G / 140 GR NATURALIS

With the Creedmoor’s dominance in the competitive shooting world, its popularity has naturally crossed over to the precision minded long-range hunter. The 6.5 Creedmoor loaded with the Lapua 9,1 g / 140 gr Naturalis projectile provides a lead-free alternative for markets where traditional lead bullets are not permissible. Designed and manufactured from pure copper, the Naturalis is nearly unbreakable in construction and often retains 100% of its original weight. The Naturalis uses state-of-the-art technology to produce consistent, controlled expansion and optimum “mushrooming” at the widest velocity range on the market. Find your shot with the new 6.5 Creedmoor offering loaded with lead-free Naturalis 9,1 g / 140 gr bullets.

The 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge has dominated precision rifle shooting disciplines in very little time at all. Successful competitors shooting multi-gun, PRS, NRL and other precision rifle disciplines have propelled this cartridge to new heights. Lapua is proud to contribute to the 6.5 Creedmoor’s continued success by offering two new ammunition products for today’s accuracy-minded enthusiasts.

6MM CREEDMOOR New case!

Lapua is pleased to announce the availability of our new 6mm Creedmoor case, a necked down version of the extremely popular 6.5 Creedmoor designed to produce higher velocities, flatter trajectories, and reduced recoil.

6MM CREEDMOOR CASE

Customer demand for a 6mm version followed almost immediately after the release of the original Lapua Creedmoor case. Aside from the neck dimensions, our new 6mm Creedmoor case shares the same features and characteristics that make Lapua the standard for 6.5 Creedmoor brass. It is a beautifully drawn case, properly annealed at the neck and shoulder, with head metallurgy specifically chosen for durability, and the same small rifle primer, small flash-hole design that delivers the ultimate accuracy edge. The smaller 6mm bore diameter offers an excellent selection of proven low-drag match bullets that offer outstanding long-range performance with even less recoil.

While the original 6.5 Creedmoor was designed with NRA High Power competition in mind, other disciplines, including PRS, were quick to see the positive attributes of this cartridge. We know Lapua’s latest offering will find a niche with discerning shooters in demanding competitive disciplines. Whether it’s a timed run against steel at unknown ranges, or the precision of placing shots in the X-ring, this Lapua case is just right for you!trajectories, and reduced recoil.

The X-ACT ammunition has proven to be the most accurate and most uniform .22 rimfire ammunition available.

Lapua has served shooters for seven decades with the world’s best .22 LR match ammunition. In future, we look forward to providing you with the same competitive edge that has made your brightest medals a reality.

FUTURE OF SUCCESS In the 2000’s Lapua set next generation standards for the .22 LR match ammunition with the X-ACT ammunition that proved to be the most accurate and most uniform .22 LR ammunition available.

Lapua .22 LR cartridges have earned numerous top competition gold medals and world records. These cartridges have delivered exceptional performance especially in ISSF disciplines, benchrest shooting, biathlon and in 60 shots prone .22 LR competitions. Your selection of the best match ammunition for your firearm is undoubtedly a deciding factor in the most demanding events.

Lapua started manufacturing the .22 LR ammunition just after WWII, in 1947. Lapua ammunition in red, white and blue box became recognized for its accuracy and soon gold medals were shot in both world shooting championships and Olympic competitions. Lapua took its place on .22 LR ammunition top level.

Lapua introduced the .22 LR ammunition with a distinctive “blue box” brand, later following such products as Match Grade and Championship, which became world famous for their accuracy and match-winning results. Lapua developed advanced production technology that keeps our quality at an incredibly high level, and made such successful products possible. Lapua was also the first manufacturer that introduced different bullet diameters for the .22 LR to help shooters choose the best bullet size for their firearms.

Lapua´s pistol and revolver cartridges are extremely accurate and supremely reliable. Our range includes best-in-class alternatives for all centerfire pistol events organized by CISM and ISSF. It is therefore no wonder that in the CISM centerfire pistol event nine out of ten marksmen choose Lapua’s cartridges.

The accuracy of Lapua´s handgun cartridges is continuously tested with different types of weapons. Even though the requirements we set for accuracy are extremely strict, our goal is always to go beyond them. Ideally, a single, tight, ragged hole for the entire string. These are also the reasons why the world’s leading pistol manufacturers recommend Lapua cartridges.

The 9mm Luger cartridges are available with conventional round nosed FMJ-type bullets weighing 7.8g/120gr and 8.0g/123gr. The CEPP (Controlled Effect Police Projectile) is a special non-ricochet projectile for both target practice and police use. This bullet is trusted by law enforcement professionals around the world. The CEPP is engineered to provide maximum penetration and controlled expansion without risk of ricocheting. CEPP Extra has a pre-cut bullet nose to initiate early expansion; lead core is not visible at the bullet nose. It provides rapid expansion and excellent weight retention.

KEVIN NEVIUS ALEKSI LEPPÄALEKSI LEPPÄALEKSI LEPPÄ

When I was lying down between series, I watched as empty Lapua cartridge boxes flew around the range in the wind and thought, well that’s some great advertisement right there!

I was able to shoot the standing position in a calmer wind. But shooting didn’t get much easier, as at this point I knew I was doing well and the pressure began to build. I just focused on firing good shots suiting my grip, and it worked. I had won the Standard rifle!

I didn’t have time to celebrate the first World Championship title, as next day was practice day for free rifle. It was probably the best free-rifle shooting I’ve ever done. I did not let the wind disturb my shooting, and it was good place to start the 3x40. The competition went well. In kneeling, I followed the wind closely

and shot good scores. In the prone, I was able to shoot really fast again and it showed in

the results. In standing, I tried to take it slow and focused on each shot. I took the last shot. It was a 10, and I celebrated it a little because I’d set a

new personal record and was happy with my own accomplishment. My coach showed me the thumbs up. I had

won!

Smallbore Metric Prone Nationals (overall aggregate). In August, he joined Team USA at the DCRA Canadian Nationals and assisted the team in bringing home the gold medal in the America match. To top it off it, he was named to the US Palma team. To Nevius, the greatest achievement for the year was winning the NRA Long Range Nationals. “It was on my bucket list, so winning there was a blessing for sure. Making the US Palma team to New Zealand was a very close second.”

With such an amazing year, how does one handle the pressure? “I don’t think at least for me it ever goes away or is ever truly manageable. My dear friend and teammate Nancy Tompkins once told me very simply to never worry about the aggregates, or the scoreboard, just focus on each individual shot. Break each one to the very best of your ability on its own merits – and the rest kind of takes care of itself. Another point – for me, that’s also why the match schedule leading up to the Nationals is so important. It puts you in match/pressure situations and allows you to acclimate to similar pressure situations”, Nevius comments.

It doesn’t look like Nevius is going to be slowing down in 2019 either. He’ll be kicking off the 2019 competition season by heading to New Zealand representing the USA and competing in the World Championships, which happens to be what he is most excited about for 2019. “I am really looking forward to the World Championships in New Zealand. I always wanted to go there, and am so honored to represent the USA on the Palma Team. I never thought in a million years I would get the chance to do these things, with so many people I admire so much.” We wish him the best of luck and can’t wait to see what he does in 2019.

Going into 2018, Nevius looked to his training. “This year was more of a challenge than most, with the normal smallbore schedule combined with the US Palma team selection. I rebarreled everything, smallbore and high power, so I had to do load development for all the rifles – my primary smallbore rifle, and two for long range, any rifle, and Palma. I also mixed training during the spring and summer to include smallbore, which I can do at home and trips to Malvern – one of only two 1000 yard ranges in Ohio. I try to build up to the Nationals so I am comfortable in position, but not too burned out – which is also tougher to do when you are training for multiple disciplines. Because of this, I worked in the shop last winter to get all of the barreled actions into a single stock – which produced some additional comfort and familiarity and allowed some true cross-training.” And the training paid off.

This past July Nevius competed and made history at the National Matches in Camp Atterbury, IN. Having won the Critchfield Trophy in 2008, 2014, and 2015 for the Smallbore Rifle Prone National Championship and the Smallbore Rifle Metric title in 2010, he made history by bringing home the Tomkins Trophy, emblematic of the US Long Range Championship. Nevius became the only person in history to win all three convent titles. Nevius also competed in team events and added the National Long Range Herrick Trophy Championship and the National Long Range Romanian Trophy Championship to an already successful competition.

Nevius didn’t stop at the Long Range Nationals, he continued on a roll at the National Smallbore Rifle Championship by becoming the Smallbore Conventional Prone Any Sight Champion and took a bronze medal at the

2018 was the year of Kevin Nevius. Having always been an impressive shooter, Nevius was asked to join Team Lapua in 2008. Nevius excels in Smallbore Prone, High Power Long Range Prone, and Palma disciplines. He utilizes Lapua Smallbore ammunition, brass, and bullets.

Young Finnish rifle shooter Aleksi Leppä has been someone to watch for some time. But in 2018, he truly shot to fame at the World Shooting Championships in Changwon, Korea, clenching two personal gold medals in the 300 meter disciplines. Here, he shares his thoughts on the unforgettable event.

It was such an

amazing feeling to win the World

Championship title, especially when conditions were so challenging. I can’t describe

how it felt, looking at my own name at the top of the score board. It’s amazing to have been able to do it twice, even

better!

Aleksi Leppä (FIN)

We landed in Korea on August 26, 2018, so we had a few days over to prepare. I shot all the rifle matches and after the rimfire events, it was time for the 300 meters disciplines.

The 300m prone was the first match, and during practice the weather was calm and the shooting went smoothly. But in the morning of the qualifying when I came to the range,

the shooting mats were flying around in the wind. I thought, well now this is going to be interesting…

The same wind continued throughout all the 300m matches. In the standard rifle standing practice, I felt like I was

going to fall over because the wind blew with such force from both directions. I was

hitting eights and sevens on both sides of the x, trying to find a good pocket. On the morning of the 3x20 match,

I was hoping the wind would’ve died down, but no such luck. My

tactics were to try to shoot into the same wind. It worked, and I

got a decent result in the kneeling stage. I managed to shoot the prone

very quickly.

SCENAR CURRENTLY HOLDS THE FOLLOWING WORLD RECORDS

Lapua’s record-breaking line of Scenar target bullets were first introduced in the mid-1980s, and immediately made a name for themselves. They were the very first European manufactured HPBT match bullets and set the standard from that point on. In 1990, the Scenar was used in Moscow to set a new World Record in the ISSF 300 meter competition with 600 points out of a possible 600. Literally, a perfect score. The Scenar’s accuracy and unrivaled consistency has made them the natural choice for the serious competitor. But it gets better. We at Lapua have never been content to rest on our laurels. We have recently undertaken a major program to make these outstanding bullets even more accurate. Not a redesign in ballistics, but a refinement in all manufacturing steps. Using our state of the art manufacturing capabilities and decades of competitive experience, we have set out to tighten all measures and requirements, including our already famous quality control standards. Closer weight tolerances, tighter jacket wall concentricity standards, and greater uniformity in every dimension, starting from the gilding metal cup, lead wire and jacket forming, ending up to core-jacket assembly, boat tail pressing and tipping.

Lapua® TACTICAL

AMMUNITIONLapua is a pioneer in the development and manufacture of sniper ammunition. All our tactical ammunition is produced to the same

match grade requirements as our target ammunition.

Not just according to toughest standards.Lapua quality is appropriately certified as well as approved by several special forces and armies worldwide. Long-term cooperation with different defence organizations helps us understand the special requirements of the military and other professional users. The goal is not to meet requirements but to exceed them.

The most accurate long-range cartridges. The reliability and accuracy of Lapua´s tactical ammunition is renowned worldwide. The tactical cartridges are manufactured with the same unconditional precision and care as our leading sport shooting products. Our pinnacle of quality and accuracy is the .338 Lapua Magnum, which has an effective range up to 1500 meters. Despite this, the .338 Lapua Magnum systems are about the same size and weight as the 7.62mm systems. The .338 Lapua Magnum system is considerably lighter than the .50 caliber system.

The .338 Lapua Magnum is currently the best choice for long range sniper applications, extending the operator’s range to well beyond one kilometer.

.338 Lapua Magnum fills the gap between 7.62mm and

.50 caliber sniper systems. The .338 Lapua Magnum sniper systems are currently employed by several armed forces throughout the world. The trajectories of Lapua bullets are tailored to match, so there is no need to change sight setup when changing the cartridge type. Some cartridges are hermetic, optional for all products. All .338 Lapua Magnum cartridges are packed in M2A1 steel cases.

B408 Ball features a 250 gr. (16.2 g) Lock Base FMJBT bullet, remaining supersonic up to1300 meters. AP485 features a 248 gr. (16.1 g) Armor Piercing bullet, trajectory matched with B408 Ball. The world’s most accurate armor piercing ammunition will penetrate 10mm of armored steel at 800 meters.

.338 Lapua Magnum cartridges are also offered in 300 gr. (19.4 g), including the GB528 Scenar, B557 Lock Base, and AP529 Armor Piercing, extending accuracy and penetration capabilities at longer ranges.

TACTICAL AMMUNITION

This Lapua’s tactical cartridge is developed for short barreled semi-auto rifles. This cartridge is designed for optimal ballistic performance in shorter barrels (12”-20”). Lapua tailored the powder type and charge weight to reduce muzzle blast and flash while still delivering outstanding accuracy and velocity. From a standard 16” barrel, muzzle velocity should be 754 m/s and routinely capable of shooting groups under 1 MOA at 300 meters (<87mm / 300m) with quality rifles. This tactical cartridge works flawlessly with DMR-type semi-auto rifles.

.308 Winchester (7.62x51mm NATO) possesses mild recoil, good terminal ballistics, and an effective range of 800 meters (875 yards). This versatility is the reason the caliber remains the most popular choice for use in law enforcement and military sniping applications.

Lapua is the world leader in providing match grade projectiles in this caliber, offering several types of Ball, Open-Tip, Armor Piercing, Solid, and Subsonic bullets.

Since the introduction of the legendary D46 cartridge, still in use today, Lapua’s .308 Winchester ammunition is in use by militaries and government agencies throughout the world. Lapua .308 ammunition is not only the world’s most accurate, but the closely matched ballistic trajectories between different projectile types increases its tactical effectiveness for the operator.

.308 Winchester is probably the most versatile centerfire rifle caliber today, and capable of outstanding accuracy. The caliber was

introduced in 1952.

everything hunters require, and now with greater versatility than ever before!

Lapua has manufactured Naturalis® bullets since 2002 and has recently introduced the 3rd generation of the lead-free hunting bullet. The Naturalis hunting bullets and cartridges represent the newest technology of bullet manufacturing and are market leaders in terminal ballistic performance, they can be used in hunting areas where lead core bullets are prohibited.

The mushrooming of the Naturalis bullet starts immediately on impact. The expansion process is started by the valve at the tip of bullet, leading the bullet to expand symmetrically and without fragmentation. This gives a maximal energy transfer to the hunted game, reduces the risk of wounding or lengthened suffering, and minimizes the meat loss.

This premium pure copper bullet performs consistently, repeatedly retaining a full 100% of its weight after expansion. A clean shot, advanced design and state of the art manufacturing technology. Quality you can trust!

A CLEAN AND ACCURATE SHOT

HUNTING AMMUNITION

The bullet is designed and manufactured by using pure copper. The material, design and controlled expansion ensures a solid and nearly unbreakable

construction. The weight retention, even after impacting on heavy bone, is frequently 100% of its

original weight.

The boat tail design eases reloading, and together with the streamlined ogive provides improved

HUNTING AMMUNITION

MEGAFOR BIG GAME

The Lapua Mega is a soft point bullet designed for the big game hunting. The bullet features a lead core and copper jacket which are mechanically bonded together. The Mega bullet has also a long jacket that protects core and prevents premature bullet expansion or breakage when bullet goes through light brush or grass cover.

Mechanical bonding means that core is firmly locked inside the jacket and will not separate even on hardest impact. The Mega bullet has very high, up to 97% retaining weight after impact on game. It typically more than doubles on impact, causing an immediate shock effect.

The Mega bullet family includes 5 bullets which are available in 6.5mm, .30 and 9.3mm calibers. Ammunition is loaded in the most popular big game calibers used in Scandinavia.

Whether you need ammunition for training, competitions or serious hunting situations, you have to know that ammunition is reliable. Lapua Mega delivers that accuracy, reliability and dependability in all situations.

RELIABLE AND TRADITIONAL

“On Saturday 27th of October, we were preparing for a driven moose hunt with my hunting club Mäntyharjun Eränkävijät in Mäntyharju, Finland. The club had plenty of permits for adult moose and a few permits for calves. The drive master had given instructions regarding desired antler size, “preferably something larger than moped handlebars”. The area we focused on had had a lot of activity in the past week, so the hunting party was feeling very hopeful as we set out with two dogs.

One hour after the hunt began, the dog Tommu had driven two deer through the line of standers. At the same time, the other dog Nalli had caught a scent within the area and the hunters were eagerly waiting to know what it was. Suddenly, there were a few sharp barks. The dog handler soon informed us that a moose cow and her calf had gone down to the nearby lake and had then waded North across the strait. The dog hadn’t followed them into the water. We cleared the standing spots and decided to meet at the camp site to distribute new spots in the assumed direction of the cow and the calf.

The drive master distributed the most important spots and I happened to be left without a spot. We stayed behind at the camp site with the master and the dog handlers to wait for the others to find their spots. I happened to look at the radar app as the last cars left for the new spot line. During this time, the deer had crossed paths with the assumed direction of the cow and the calf. I figured it would be wise to wait a few minutes for Tommu’s reaction to the cow and calf scent. And sure enough, Tommu made a 90 degree turn to the east half a mile north of the place where the moose had waded ashore.

IT WASN’T A DEER...I asked the drive master permission to take the standing

spot near the camp fire site, as it was in the exact direction where Tommu had gone. The master nodded and I set off for the spot, with Tommu approaching just a mile away. We assumed that Tommu was most likely driving the deer or, in the best case, the cow and the calf. I was preparing for the deer, but better to be safe than sorry! Soon I could hear loud noises of branches breaking in the foreground. That’s

not a deer, I thought, I guess it’s the cow and the calf! The sound of breaking branches came closer. My

standing spot was in a wooded area with 16-foot pines next to a small hill with thinned pine forest. I expected the moose to move through the densest spot, but just over fifty yards away, the sounds started to move in the direction

of the hill. I realized I’d better put a move on if I wanted a chance to shoot the calf and spare

myself from any wise cracks at the camp fire later. I ran by the side of the hill towards this branch breaker - until I saw the moose trotting down the hillside some 50 meters away.

Tommu the dog had at some point swapped the deer for the biggest moose bull I’ve ever seen. And

with the first shot, Naturalis found its spot behind the shoulder. As the hit was difficult to verify in the shooting

situation, I fired a second shot just to be sure. The moose fell about 60 meters away after the latter lung shot. The entry wounds were right next to each other right behind the shoulder. Naturalis had worked perfectly, and the first bullet was found on the opposite side under the skin with 100% residual weight. We marveled at the size of the antlers and made sure the dog knew he was a very good boy. The dog handler later commented that this was the first time that the shooter would come over to greet him with a big hug… “
