Polycrystalline cultured alumina offers the highest combination of translucency and shock resistance. the

metal slot reduces friction and increases sliding mechanics as well as increasing the strength of the bracket. the

Avair brackets are almost invisible on the teeth for near-perfect

aesthetics. These photos show how the brackets pick up and reflect

the color of the bases they are placed upon.

INNOVATIVE MATERIAL :

Avair™ brackets are made from a hybrid biocompatible

material that is a dispersion of Acrylic and two different

copolymers, with a small amount of polycrystalline

alumina for increased strength.

Avair™ brackets are clear and stain-resistant. The

material of the Avair™ bracket won’t deform during

treatment, delivers orthodontic forces without the brittle

and abrasive characteristics of sapphire or ceramic, but

its shore hardness prevents teeth from being damaged

2.4°/ Multi Strand Stainless Steel

STRANDS

Due to the gentle nature of the wire, Round stranded

wires are traditionally used in early treatment to correct

misaligned teeth.

Stranded wires apply a low force level over a given span

with minor to moderate deformation depending on the

severity of the malocclusion.

Rectangular stranded wires are typically used in

transitional applications to align and detail occlusions

effectively with comparatively lower force than solid

stainless steel archwires.

3.3.2°/ Lingual Retainer from Reliance :

Permanent retention is greatly enhanced using a flattened,

dead soft, 8 braided wire. Intra-arch splitting with this thin

ribbon arch prevents torque control problems that can

occur using a round braided wire for these procedures.

When bonded on the lingual of the upper incisors, a very

thin rectangular wire can be adapted with little lower incisor

interference. The dead soft wire is easy to adapt and

prevents inadvertent tooth movement associated with

4.3.2°/ DRYFIELD SYSTEM

Primary dentition

The Infant Trainer™ is an active exerciser that encourages

patients to chew correctly while using the jaw muscles. The

Infant Trainer™ helps patients breathe through their nose

and it also trains them to swallow and position their tongue

correctly.

5.2.2°/ Trainers T4K

Early mixed dentition

The Pre-Orthodontic Trainer for Kids™ (T4K®) has become one of the

most popular and successful products available from MRC. The T4K® is

most effective in early mixed dentition for tooth eruption guidance

and correction of myofunctional habits.

T4K® Phase 2 - Correcting Tooth Alignment

Once the dental alignment improves, the harder T4K® Phase 2 (pink or red) is used. This is much stiffer (same principle

as orthodontic archwire). As the teeth come into place, more force can be used to encourage their alignment. The

myofunctional characteristics are the same as the T4K® Phase 1. Use the finishing T4K® Phase 2 for a further 6 to 12

months. Use beyond this period is recommended depending on the outcome and the next phase of orthodontic

treatment.

Patient Selection

The optimum patient age for the T4K® is 6 - 8 years of age. Although it is possible to use the T4K® in patients ranging

from the primary right through to the permanent dentition, as dentition progresses the effectiveness of the T4K® as

the sole method of treatment is lessened.

Patient Selection : The T4A™ is best suited to patients 12 - 15+ years of

age in the early stages of the permanent dentition.

The T4A™ is like the T4K® but designed for the permanent dentition. It

has higher sides in the canine region to align erupting canines and the

distal ends are longer to accommodate the second molars. The combination of labial bows and tooth channels with the 2 phase hardness, polyurethane material, give good

alignment of anterior teeth. The Myofunctional Effect™ also retrains oral musculature making it ideal in retention and

minor relapse cases. The T4A™ is made of polyurethane and is available in two versions - Phase 1 (softer version) and

Phase 2 (harder version).

The Ortho-Tain® Positioner™ is ideal for finishing up orthodontic cases, especially when the patient is anxious to get bands or brackets

removed. Suggested wear of the Ortho-Tain® Positioner™ is 4 hours per day and night for the first month, 3 hours per day and night for

second month, 2 hours per day and night for third month, and 1 hour per day and night for fourth month.

After the fourth month only nighttime wear is required to maintain correction. If patient has experienced relapse due to non-use the

Ortho-Tain® Positioner™ can be worn 2-4 hours a day to bring the case back to a perfect Class I occlusion in minimum time.

5.4.2°/ OCCLUS-O-GUIDE :

The Occlus-o-Guide® : 8 to 12-Year-Old Patients Treated in Four to Ten Months

The Occlus-o-Guide® treatment offers the 8 to 12 year old patients an orthodontic appliance to straighten crowding,

spacing, overbite, overjet, and guide erupting posterior teeth into a perfect Class I relationship. Plus, it is designed to

correct jaw discrepancies, molar relations and rotations. Active treatment consists of two to four hours per day plus

nighttime wear for a period of four to ten months.

Results include approximately 1mm of correction per month; more at the beginning of treatment, less at the end.

Active wear/exercise consists of biting down into the appliance and holding for one minute, then release for 30

seconds. Exercising consists of a minimum of 20-minute increments throughout the day totaling a total of two to four

hours. The “G” series is available in 13 sizes. Use these simple measuring instructions to determine which size best fits

your patient.
