Eltech Industries recently published a bulletin (12/10/2011) after they became aware of a small incidence (0.013%) of apparent failures relating to its range of ISO-MAX® Solar Connect DC ISOLATOR switches. In the bulletin it was stated that the Isolator was not a ‘ Load Break Switch’, Eltech have since investigated this further and wish to make the following correction. The ISO-MAX isolator is in fact a ‘Load Break Switch’ and will be renamed in future publications as a DC Switch Dis-Connector’. Eltech Industries wish to apologize for any confusion that may have been caused. In relation to other information supplied in the bulletin of 12/10/11, Eltech Industries is currently obtaining product testing from an independent industry expert and may issue a further bulletin going forward. Eltech Industries would also like to make it clear to its customers that it has not issued a product recall and if it does decide to take this action, you as the customer will be notified at the appropriate time.
