The Dilmah Tea Inspired Awards is aninitiative culminated from a series of tradeand consumer initiatives that is aimed toshare the versatility, benefits and the truequality of Ceylon teas by Dilmah.
To enable and equip culinary & hospitalityprofessionals with solid knowledge ofserving the perfect cup of tea whilecreating an extraordinary tea inspiredexperience to their guests throughunderstanding the versatility and qualityof Ceylon teas from Dilmah.
Ultimately the core objective is to createpositive awareness and improve guestexperience through tea inspiredgastronomy & mixology
Objectives

Duration of Competition: 1st June – 31st July 2017
Beverage Submission (the teas to be used will be included in the starter kit)Can be any of the below options:1. Hot Ceylon black tea (loose leaf or tea bag) 2. Iced tea / mocktail (non-alcoholic)3. Tea-based cocktail (includes alcohol, served chilled)
Food & Tea Pairing: The teas you have selected must be served with a food item either sweet or savory which must pair with the teas you have selected.Items could be served hot, warm or cold.
Tea Infused Food: The food must be infused with your selection of tea(s) and show off the unique characteristics of the chosen tea(s) in the dish.

POINTS TO NOTE:Items to be served accordingly if it is supposed to be warm or chilled it should be served as intended.
Carry Dilmah teas for a period of not less than 6 months (contract). Only use Dilmah teas for the Dilmah Tea Inspired Awards Menu & collaterals during this periodMust attend briefing session on Wednesday, 29 March or Thursday, 30 March from 3-5pmAbide in the competition guidelines stated in this presentation deckMenu submission by Friday, 7 April 2017Submit two sets of the menu to be photographed and judged by the mentors for the Mentor’s Award on Wednesday, 12 April 2017.1 set of notes including menu, theme, recipes, food-cost into 1 USB drive with a soft copy of the above. (Please note this is mandatory and they will become property of Dilmah.)

How to encourage guests to vote?By filling up the voting slip, the guest stands a chance to win 2 nights stay at a 5 Star Luxury Hotel in Singapore and much more!
Voting Process and Computation of Scores• Service staff will present voting slips for
customers who have ordered the Dilmah Tea Inspired Award menu and/or Dilmah Teas by cup and/or by pot.
• Receipt will be attached to the voting slip and dropped into a box
• At the end of the last day of the award, all slips will be collected and computed
• The total highest scores per outlet will be the winner of the Dilmah Tea Inspired Award.
• Results will be announced on Award Ceremony - Monday, 7 August

Mentors’ Choice Session • Date: Thursday, 12 April 2017• Time and location will be given closer to the
event.
What will happen during the mentors choice session?1. Present your tea beverage or/and dish to
mentors for tasting, 1 set for photography –total 2 sets)
2. Mentors will give their feedback to help your business improve the tea experience for your guests
3. Photography session for the submitted menu to create artworks for online promoting campaign
4. Media will be invited for this session5. Introduction of menus from all competing
establishments to the media

Mentors will give feedback on • Respect for tea and brewing a perfect cup of
tea. • Quality and creativity in pairing of tea with
