1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. PURPOSE

The objective of this document is to describe the PROCOS Customer Baseline and thereby supply the PROCOS customers with the necessary knowledge to decide upon an update of an existing PROCOS system. PROCOS is the name of the Windows version of CGI's process control system suite.

The Customer Baseline basis in this document describes which versions of the ESW Packages are qualified to be delivered to customers along with valid User Manuals. Additional internal PROCOS documentation is also baselined.

1.2. SCOPE

This document describes the changes made from the previous baseline to this including references to any Test Reports issued during this period.

The document includes the following important issues:

Major Enhancements, chapter 2.

Support removed, chapter 3.

Changes from previous baseline, chapter 4.

Test shortages, section 5.1.

Conclusions from Test Reports, section 5.2.

PROCOS Mapplications version list, section 6.1.

IPC version list, section 6.2.

USM version list, sections 6.3.

Corrected ILS since the last Customer Baseline, including error corrections as well as improvements, Appendix A .

Known Errors and Workarounds, Appendix B .

Installation notes describing important matters concerning the installation of the present baseline are included on the baseline CD (Install.txt).

Chapter 2 Major Enhancements describes changes in PROCOS Customer Baseline version 04.03 versus version 04.02.

1.3. APPLIES TO

This document applies to Configuration Management to secure that the correct versions are used in delivery to customers and to create trace ability between related elements. Related configuration elements are an ESW Package, IPC5xx, IPC91x, User Manuals (USM) and additional documentation – see chapter 6.

The document may also be used by customers to decide whether to update their system.

2. MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS

This chapter includes a brief description of the major enhancements available with this release.

Please refer to Appendix A for a complete list of error corrections and improvements to PROCOS in this release.

2.1. CASE SENSITIVE LOGIN – ILS 3230

It is now possible to use case sensitive passwords on PROCOS systems with advanced user access control.

In the User Administration Tool the field “Use case sensitive passwords” indicates whether passwords are case sensitive or not. Changing this setting takes effect immediately (also for existing passwords).

The field “Require both upper- and lowercase” indicates whether passwords should have both upper- and lowercase letters.

This feature is only available on Oracle 11g or later.

2.2. INSTRUCTIONS WITH TEXT PARAMETERS – ILS 3233

The following instructions are now available with a MSG_ID or a text parameter in IPC and Controller Executor:

The current alarm text has been added to the SEQ and CTL standard pictures as well.

2.3. EXTENDED SEND CONTROLLER (SNX) – ILS 3506

The Send eXtended Controller (SNX) is used for transmission of all types of point values from one IPC to another.

SNX sends up to 31 point values to destination points in another IPC. It is not recommended to send string points with long values due to the package overhead associated with long string point values.

A point is sent

when the point value has changed more than hysteresis since it was sent last time

at predetermined intervals (Hysteresis Max. Seconds)

first time an error is detected on a point sent

first time it takes more than 5 seconds to get a response from the last sent package

points failed is sent again every Retransmit Delay seconds

2.4. CUSTOM SCAN ON CONTROLLER EXECUTOR – ILS 3511

The Custom scan is intended to make special scan intervals available for each Controller Executor. An example could be to make a scan that is faster than the standard Very Fast scan, however care shall be taken not to put too many controllers in such an extra fast scan class. The value of Custom scan is specified as an environment parameter for each Controller Executor.

2.5. RELATIONAL OPERATORS <=, >=, AND <> ADDED TO SEQ FOR IPC AND CONTROLLER EXECUTOR – ILS 3520

These are operators for comparison of two analog, counter or string expressions.




2.6. IPC STANDARD PICTURES IMPROVEMENTS

2.6.1. PID User Interface – ILS 2010

In order to improve readability the D and I terms have been removed from the standard picture when they are not defined in Engineering Tool..

2.6.2. Information about filtering and Inverted/Normal conversion – ILS 3371

The standard picture for AI points now includes information about filtering.

The standard pictures for DI, DO, Dom, Dof now includes information about Inverted/normal conversion.

2.7. CHANGE PRIORITY OF PIU-TASKS IN IPC – ILS 3538

Tests have shown that the PIU-tasks in the IPC might run at a lower priority than expected due to the prioritizing algorithm used by QNX. This might result in scan overflow in heavy load situations. Consequently a solution has been implemented to ensure that the PIU-tasks handling the serial input/output run at a higher priority.

2.8. ADD MISSING BATCH IDS IN BATCH EXECUTOR – ILS 3543

The Batch Executor now has an additional utility: EmBatUtil.exe

This utility can be used to add missing Batch IDs to the BAT-EXEC Mapplication. This may be relevant in cases, where the Batch IDs known by BAT-EXEC are lost.

2.9. LIMITATION OF NET MIMIC LIST – ILS 3473

Only MIMICs on stations that are loadable now appear in the downloading list in PIC-TOOL.

2.10. EXTRACT FOR CBAS V. 04.00 FROM NEW ENGINEERING DATABASE – ILS 3516

This feature makes it easier to extract from a new Engineering database on a test system (CBAS v. 04.02) and merge this file into an older factory system (e.g. CBAS v. 04.00 or CBAS v. 04.01).

2.11. PRINTERS ADDED TO SETUP REPORT – ILS 3532

Printers are now included in the Setup Report ([Tools] [Report]).

Only an IPC of type IPC531 with Beckhoff I/O modules was used for the system test, which means that cassette IPC911 with PIU modules and PLC drivers was not used.

5.2. TEST REPORT CONCLUSIONS

In the sections below the main conclusions from the Test Reports issued in connection with the release of this Customer Baseline are listed.

5.2.1. Conclusions from TREP072 – Component Integration Test

During the test period 52 ILS with software errors/change request were corrected and tested ok in relation to this test report.

1 ILS has not been possible to test functionally, but will be tested in system test.

In the test period 10 new software errors were raised, which means that net 42 ILS related to software were corrected in the period.




5.2.2. Conclusions from TREP073 - System Test Report CBAS001 v. 04.03

The test period went well on the Novo Nordisk GePP test plant. The test was conducted as planned. No problems were experienced in connection with the error corrections and new functionality made in the PROCOS Mapplications and the IPC. No other unintentional side-effects of the corrections were experienced. So bearing in mind the test shortages listed in section 5.1 there does not appear to be anything that should prevent that this software should be part of a Customer Baseline on the basis of Ref. [5] TBAS001 “PROCOS Base Line Functional Test, v. 04.65”.

This chapter describes the Customer Baseline basis for delivering PROCOS to customers.
