DAY 1MIQATS

• Five Miqats (entry points)• Wearing Ihram• Intention to perform Hajj

MAKKAH• Hajr-e-Aswad• Perform Welcome Tawaf (Tawaf al Qudum)• Perform Sa’y (passing seven times between the hillocks of

Safa and Marwah).• Go to Mina

DAY 1 (cont.) MINA 8th of Dhu’l-Hijjah to 9th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• In Mina, perform five prayers, starting with the noon (Zuhr)

prayer and ending with dawn (Fajr) on the day of Arafat.

DAY 2ARAFAT 9th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• Masjid-e Nimra

• Zuhr and Asar Namaz• From the afternoon onwards, perform Wuquf at Arafat• Before Maghrib Namaz, go outside your tent, and face towards the

Quibla in the Holy city of Makkah, raise your hands and pray to Allah with all your heart

• When the sun has set, leave Arafat for Muzdalifah.

MUZDALIFAH 9th to 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• Open sky• Offer the evening prayer (Maghrib) and stay overnight• Collect the pebbles you will need for the “stoning” ceremony (ramy)• At dawn, offer Fajr, then, before the sun has risen, set off for Mina

DAY 3MINA 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• Perform the stonning (ramy) – Jamrah Akba• After the stonning of the devil, a sacrifice is required if you are performing

Hajj al-Qiran or Hajj al-Tamattu’. A sacrifice is recommended, although not required, for Hajj al-Ifrad.

• Hulq or Qasar• Now leave the state of Ihram, Most prohibitions are ended. • Proceed to al Masjid al Haram in Makkah to perform Tawaf al Ziyarat

DAY 3 (cont.)MAKKAH 10th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• Perform the Hajj Tawaf (Tawaf al-Ifadha)• Circumambulate the Kaaba• Then offer prayers (Rakaat) behind Maqam Ibrahim – Wajib al Tawaf• Drink from the well of Zamzam• Then perform Sa’y between Safa and Marwah (mountains) seven safa to

marwah• As soon as you have completed the Hajj Tawaf (Tawaf al-Ifadha) the state

of Ihram is completely ended.• Return to Mina.

DAY 4/5/6

MINA 10th to 12th/13th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• Stay at Mina for two or three days• Stone the three pillars in a set order• Ramy al-uula, Ramy al-wusta and Ramy al-kubra• To avoid over-crowding, the stoning must be performed

according to predetermined schedules• Return to al Masjid al Haram to perform the Farewell Tawaf

DAY 5/6

MAKKAH 12th /13th of Dhu’l-Hijjah• Perform the Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf-Widah)• This Tawaf marks the end of your Hajj• Spend whatever time you can within the precincts of al

Masjid al Haram. Make your prayers and devotions as you wish

• Your Hajj completed, you should leave Makkah promptly for your next destination

After taking part in the Hajj, Muslim pilgrims head to Medina to pray at the Prophet Mohammad's mosque before returning home
