The purpose procedural text is to tell the reader how to do or make something. The information is presented in a logical sequence of events which is broken up into small sequenced steps. The most common example of a procedure text is a recipe.

DEFINITION OF PROCEDURE TEXTProcedure have three definition : Texts that explain how something works or
how to use instruction / operation manuals e.g. how to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax.
Texts that instruct how to do a particular activity e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules.
Texts that deal with human behaviour e.g. how to live happily, how to success.
PURPOSE OF PROCEDURE

STEPS IT IS CONTAIN OF THE STEPS TO MAKE SOMETHING IN THE GOAL.example :1. First, wash the rice in cold water. 2. Then, put the rice in the pan and add the water and the salt. 3. Next, you heat the pan without the lid on until the water boils. 4. When it has boiled, turn down the heat, put the lid on and cook it for about fifteen minutes.
LANGUANGE FEATURES
1. Using Simple Present TenseSimple Present Tense indicates an action in the present time which is not finished. This can be habitual action or a general truth.Example : I boil a pan of water
2. Using Imperatives SentenceAn imperative sentence gives a command. Commands ask or tell people to do something.Example : Turn the omelet with a spatula when it browns
3. Using Adverb Adverbs are descriptive words that explain about the place, time and how an activity or event that happened.Example : Cook it for about fifteen minutes.
4.Using Technical Terms A word that has a specific meaning within a specific field of expertise.Example : If we want to cook rice, we will need two cups of water, a cup of rice, salt and a pan with a lid.

Steps You will need: What to do?Two large potatoes 1. Chop the ingredients for you filling.Salt 2. Wash the potatoes under a running tap and dry Pepper Beef and avocado filling with a paper towel or tea towel.2 slices chopped beef 3. 7. Spoon the mixture back into the potato shells and cook in the microwave for a further 2 min on HIGH.
