Hybrid Tower concept (Steel-Concrete-Tower)

8

Characteristics of the Hybrid Tower Structure

Ring elements are subdivided into two halves at maximum only few vertical grouted joints on site

Horizontal joints between ring elements are not grouted clean and fast piling

External tendons easy dismantling at the end of the WTG´s lifetime

Bottom flange of steel tower is an internal L-Flange easy assembly from inside of the tower only

Small offset at the outer edges of concrete and steel tower

good appearance – looks like a single solid structure

Installation Concept for 143mCompany confidential

For sites in hilly and forest areas, where lattice boom cannot be installed.

Less Deforest at forest areas (economies of space ca. 150m x 6m = 900m²)

Fewer transports for crane installation

Fewer transports for crane installation are subject to approval by police (standard width and height of crane sections).

Smaller crane space required (approx. 1000m² vs. 1500m²)

Crane only ~ 300t (lattice crane ~ 1.000t)

Installation up to 15 m/s (Lattice boom crane up to 12 m/s), better planning for Installation

Tower Crane instead of Lattice boom Crane
