Private Client Services At Cherry Bekaert, we define Private Client Services (“PCS”) clients as entrepreneurs and family groups with related multiple entities who desire a relationship-driven approach to professional advice and consultation.
Identifying the Needs of PCS ClientsTo proactively and effectively serve PCS clients, it is important to recognize the events that trigger a need for our services. Below is a sampling of the events and questions that commonly signify a need for PCS services.
Compensation & Benefits ` I need to save for retirement, but don’t want to contribute to employee retirement funds. What approach should I take?
` I want to bring in a new business partner. How do I do that?
` What do I need to know about Social Security? How do I maximize the benefit?
` I have key employees I want to keep, but don’t want more shareholders. What are my options?
` Can you help me understand my current life insurance policy(ies)?
Transaction Advisory ` I need to borrow money for an acquisition. How do I do it?
` A larger business in my industry has approached me about buying. What do I need to know?
` What does a buy/sell agreement do?
` I expect to sell my business in the next two years. How do I remove appreciation from the future estate without losing total control and access to the assets?
` I just want a loan. Why is the bank asking for all this information?
` What is the bank looking for when they underwrite my loan request?
Trusts & Estates ` I have a child active in the family business and others who are not. How do I divide my estate fairly?
