Here at BSFC FM we take the Data Protection Act 1998 seriously. To ensure that we comply with the law here’s what happens with your data.

Principal 2

We only ever collect data when a listener enters a competition. The data goes to the competition database and nowhere else.

Principal 3

Only three pieces of data will be taken:- E-mail address, name and your age.

Principal 4

The listener will be required to enter their e-mail address down twice, to help verify that the data is correct; but the data is entered by the listener, so it is their responsibility to ensure that the data is accurate. All data collected will be deleted fourteen days after the competition ends.

Principal 5

All data will be deleted fourteen days after the competition ends.

Principal 7

To ensure that the data is protected, the database is password protected, as well as being in a locked room being monitored by CCTV. The website is protected by a firewall.

Principal 8

The data will only be used for the competitions, so it won’t be transferred anywhere else.

All of the above points ensure that we process your data within your legal rights.
