What makes for poor water quality? Fertilizers, oils from vehicles, and sediment are common offenders. Through innovative
best management practices such as bioretention basins, pervious pavers and
vegetative swales, the Sarpy County Administration Building Parking Lot filters out many of these contaminants and reduces the amount of stormwater runoff. This allows the stormwater runoff to recharge groundwater
and enter water bodies slowly to keep ecosystems healthy.
