DPR GEMINI II
The Gemini is an automatic sheet feeding and cutting system designed to automatically load and cut without the
need of an operator.
Equipped with a Graphtec CE6000 Plotter, cuts can be made on adhesive sheets, silkscreen prints, shop material
prints and digital prints on cardboard.
With an intuitively designed suction feeding
loading lever and a wheel system, sheets can
automatically be loaded into the plotter
interruption free, cut, then dispensed into the catch
tray all with ease.
The Gemini is equipped with a camera to assist in reading the black marks after each sheet is loaded all within a
fraction of a second. This is done while working in tandem with the cutting management software resulting with
a cut precision of 0.2mm.
This innovative desktop cutter is capable of handling a variety of thickness and sheet sizes such as A4, A3, SRA3,
Letter, Tabloid and Tabloid Extra.
It also has the ability to do Perforation cuts (Small dots), Kiss cuts (Half cuts), and Die cuts (Heavy cuts) for
applications such as labels, business cards, shaped business cards, small boxes and more.
It can successfully cut cardboard with a weight ranging from 200 to 350 gr.

Speedy and accurate production
Turnaround times and waste are further minimized with the
ColorFlare unique 'burst separation' system. The laminating film is
micro-perforated on the edge by the robust marking device and then
separated by the pneumatic burst roller. This easily separates the
laminated sheets prior to the actual edge of the media, leaving clean
and square datum edges from which to measure, cut, fold or
guillotine.

Operating in ten countries around the globe, Fransabank Group is one of the oldest and leading banks in
Lebanon. With over 3,000 employees and ranked first in its network of local Lebanese agencies Fransabank
Group offers the national community all types of banking products and services. These include Corporate
Banking.
Investment and Private Banking, Consumer Banking, SMEs, Insurance and Savings.
CHALLENGE
Fransabank were looking to centralize its print management to reduce its print related-costs, optimize its
print environment and increase the efficiency and productivity of its staff across the 124 Lebanese
branches and offices around the world.
The solution Fransabank requested needed the functionality of controlling and monitoring the usage of
printing devices via the setting of customizable print-rules.
Being a financial institution, the Group was also after a reliable security management system to provide
protection of its highly sensitive and confidential data.

A total of 269 Yoft SafeQ licenses were purchased over a six month Period. The
key features that attracted Fransabank were:
- A central web-based interface, easy to use and manage the entire print network
for the administrator
- Cost assignment functionality (branch, department)
- Budget and quota management
- Central tracking of user activity to minimize the risk if uncontrolled access
- Scan, save and share documents electronically reducing paper and energy costs
- On-demand customized and detailed management reporting (including, by
branch, by device, by user BW and color)
- Unification of the fleet with a friendly UI, so users can easily access from any
branch or location
- An automated E-notification setting for toner replenishment.
RESULTS
As well as reducing costs, Fransabank was able to realize the many benefits of
centralizing the print management across all his locations which also improved
consistency across the group. The benefits to date include:
- Cost-reduction opportunities - Efficiency and improvement of printing processes - Breadth and depth of print management reporting - Security o printed and scanned documents - One technology for all the fleet simplifying the usage for all users in all branches - Reduce costs for logistics ordering and stock level (e.g. consumables) - Monitoring the entire fleet from one single point - Error and alerts notifications replace the heavy tasks of the monitoring - Consumables
By working with Konica Minolta, Copytech and Y soft the Fransabank Group was
able to meet all its requirements. In addition, they were able to simplify the
ongoing management of their print environment releasing their IT team from the
day to day management to focus on activities that impact the strategic direction
of the organization.
