Design Brief

• Problem Statement– Design and create a package that can

contain a Pringles chip. – The chip must be sent through the mail

while remaining intact. – The chip must also be edible and be able

to fit into a flat rate box. – Higher grades will be awarded for smaller

packaging.

• Design Statement– Package to hold a Pringle Chip Safely– Sent to another school– Will be tested and evaluated– Use of the design process– Inventor (CAD) skills will be used– Sent through a real business (The US

Postal Service)

• Constraints– Students will use one (regular) Pringles

Potato Chip.– The chip may not be altered– The chip must be recoverable and edible

when received by the partner school– No pre-made Pringles containers should

be used– All packages must be sent via the US

Postal Service – First Class Mail. – Also be advised that there is a 3” x 5”

limit on the size of the package
