Principle Areas of Responsibility Lead on-site inspection, analysis and condition assessment of existing structures; Perform Construction and Life Cycle Cost estimates and prepare load rating calculations; Lead the structural design for all project types, including complex bridge designs; Lead the planning and schematic/geometric layout of new structures; Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate; Prepare plan drawings and details, construction specifications and design calculations; Oversee project construction administration including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information; Supervise and direct staff engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines as well as scope and budget requirements; and Assist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work and be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables.
