Kindy News…

Welcome to our new student from India, Harnoor, who started at our school yesterday. I know you will enjoy being at our great school. Well done to all the Kindies who have been practising their reading at home and changing their books each day. Keep practising your names with a capital at the beginning and lower case for the rest. I’m noticing lots of improvement. Ms H has been doing Science with our class on Tuesday afternoons. This term the unit is called “The Weather in my World” and is all about the weather and how it affects our lives. Have a great week! Mrs Wiggins

Year 2 News…

Homework was handed out yesterday and is due back on Friday. This will be the last week of homework for this term. In maths this week we are investigating time and practicing our calendar reading skills. Just a little reminder, money for textbooks and library bags is due in at the office by the end of the week. If you have any concerns about this please contact the school. Mr Marzinotto

Year 3 News…

Homework has been given out for this week. Both the Home Reading Journal and the homework sheets are due in on Friday. In Maths we are revising work completed in whole number, subtraction and fractions. In Writing, we are writing a Persuasive text titled; “Children Should Not Have To Do Homework” It will be interesting to see year 3’s thoughts on the topic. In Grammar we have been looking at verbs. Robot update!! Our robots look fantastic. There are robots of all shapes and sizes. Some are quite simple and many very, very intricate. It is amazing what year 3 has designed and made using only recycled materials. Another great Swimming Scheme last Friday. It is great to see so much improvement in Year 3 over the course of the scheme. Only 1 week to go. Last Swimming Day Arrangements This Friday children can bring in a small amount of

money; $2-$3 dollars, and can buy from the

canteen at the Pool.
