Principal’s Weekly Update

Mrs. Janiece Dilts

Sunday, December 2, 2018

Spring Musical Auditions: Auditions for our upcoming musical production of Beauty and the Beast will be

held on December 12th for tracks 2 and 4. Audition information and materials are available on the drama club

website. You must register in advance to audition. Late auditions will not be considered. If you have any

questions, please see Ms. Beddingfield or Ms. Hengler.

School Improvement Team: Thank you for the overwhelming response to my request for parents to join this

team. I will be in touch with all that reached out to me. It was truly encouraging!!!

Dance Class for the 2019-2020 School Year: Has your student ever thought about taking dance class at

school, but he/she wasn’t sure what the class was like? Has he always wanted to take dance at a studio but

never had the time or money? Does she love to dance, but isn’t sure if dance at school will offer her anything

different than dance at the studio? Has he wanted to take dance as an elective, but never got in? THIS

MEETING IS FOR THEM!!! Have your student come learn about all of the cool new offerings for the dance

elective next year! We will have Cider, Donuts, and Hot Chocolate! Tracks 2 and 4 come to the dance room

during K-9 on December 6th. They don't want to miss this!!

Instructional Spotlight: This week in 6th grade, track 4 science class, I was truly amazing. A digital platform

called Journey 2050 had students planning and working through farming scenarios in other countries to work

on soil preservation. Please ask your students about it. It was one of the best and most engaging technology

lesson I have ever observed!
