First Holy Communion
Congratulations to all the children who made
their First Holy Communion on the weekend of
the 18th June. All children participated beauti-
fully in the Mass and it was lovely to see so
many parents and friends there to support
them. We celebrated their achievement last
Monday with the cutting (and devouring) of the
beautiful Communion cake prepared by Ber-
toldo’s Bakery.
A special thank you to all the students of St
Pat’s who have supported the candidates
throughout the program. The candidates are
very grateful for the prayers and gifts they have received.

If families could
please keep separate all
money for siblings in
lunch bags. It gets quite confusing when the
lunch orders are sent up in class buckets to
keep tally as who has paid for what.
Thanks in advance,
Nancy.
Lost Property Our lost property bin is currently overflowing with unclaimed
items. It is crucial that you clearly label all your child’s
clothing as we can then return it to them once found. Please
come into the office if your child is missing clothes, lunch
boxes or drink bottles as we have quite a collection!
Police are Enforcing Speed Limits in School Zones
Please be aware that the police have been enforcing the 40km speed limit in
school zones around our school on a regular basis. Noorebar Avenue is the main
point as it joins the two schools. Please drive within the speed limit in school
zones to keep our children safe and avoid unwanted speeding fines. Police are
also issuing parking infringements to any vehicles illegally parked in and around
our school grounds.

Paul Kelly Cup Southern Final Wagga Wagga
The St. Patrick’s School Paul Kelly Cup team competed in the Southern Final in Wagga on June 20.
The team competed against teams from Deniliquin South Public School, Mater Dei Primary from Wagga and Trinity College
from Albury. Games were played at a very high standard and although team didn’t win a game on the day, they played
strongly. Against the eventual winners, Trinity College, the boys played very competitively scoring well against the strong
opposition. The boys are to be congratulated on their efforts when training and competing. They were proud representatives
of our school. Many compliments were received about the team’s skills and commitment on the day.
Special thanks to all the parents who travelled to Wagga, to Mr Oscar Roche who not only coached the team but also drove the
bus for us and to Mike Culgan for being runner on the day and replenishing the drinks.
