PRINCIPAL’S NEWS
Quote of the Week
‘The role of a mother is always appreciated
but can be under-estimated’
This week we have been very proud of our grade 3 and grade 5 students as they have undertaken their Naplan assessments. Whilst Naplan does not assess our students’ ability to be: dependable, supportive friends, responsible members of the community, creative, athletic, persistent, honest, ethical, proud or humble, it does assess how our students are going in Reading, Writing, Maths and Grammar as measured against other students of the same age across the country. Naplan also measures the growth students have achieved in their learning between each assessment, which is completed every two years in a child’s education—3, 5, 7 and 9. Thank you to all the parents who joined us on Friday afternoon to join in the Mother’s Day celebration activities. It was lovely to see so many mothers, fathers, grandparents and carers.
Congratulations to the Kulkarni family who won the Mother’s Day raffle. For more photos see page 3 Cheryl Van Deursen - Principal

MOTHER’S DAY AFTERNOON
On Friday 10th May, Cranbourne Primary School invited Mothers,
Grandparents and Special loved ones into our classrooms. As the Wellbeing
teacher, I was so proud and happy to see the turn out for our children.
Completing activities that included Origami, One on One Interviews and
decorating tiaras, our students were so proud that they could share this
moment with a special person in their life. I would like to acknowledge the
teaching staff for their efforts in making this event so special for our
students.
Please take some time to enjoy the moments captured from our special
afternoon by copying the below link.
