NEW FLEXIBLE LEARNING AREAS... The new classrooms are not far off completion—just some ground works to clean up, and we should then be able to fit the building with interactive whiteboards and new furniture. Working in the new flexible learning areas will be a new experience for all. We are so excited about the options for creative learning these open
areas can provide. We will move some items into the building over the next few weeks.

How to keep the lunchbox contents safe for
eating when at school?
Lunches can be out of the fridge for up to 6 hours; follow these steps to avoid food spoilage.
Ensure basic food safety and hygiene in the kitchen
when making your child’s lunch. Choose an insulated lunch bag with an ice brick or frozen water bottle to keep the lunch cold and safe from any harmful bacteria and spoilage. Make sure reduced fat dairy and lean meat products are
frozen the night before or put next to a frozen ice block, water bottle or UHT milk carton in the lunchbox.
Discard any uneaten food and wash the lunchbox everyday. http://www.healthykids.com.au/category/80/lunchbox-tips

4-3 Williams Early one morning a rooster named Mr. Rooster was in the Chook shed having a lovely snooze.
When suddenly he started to grow bigger and bigger and bigger by the second!
All of a sudden the roof to the chook shed broke and
Mr. Rooster woke up.
5 hours later a boy named Ashton came out to unlock the chook shed.
Ashton saw Mr. Rooster and ran at the hint of danger. Ashton ran all around the farm with Mr. Rooster following him. Soon Ashton ran
to the house with Mr. Rooster on his tracks.
Ashton yelled out to his mum and dad .Then Mr. Rooster had a very long poo!
He then shrunk before Ashton’s very eyes! So by the time Ashton’s mum and dad came out Mr. Rooster was small again. Ashton got in
big trouble, because he woke his mum and dad up really early in the morning, the only morning that they get to sleep in! ............Well that
was his mum and dad’s side of the story.
Student of the week is Corey Motton for being prepared to take responsibility for his
learning and behaviour.
6-5 Pearson If I was Prime Minister I would implement the following policies:
Make AFL Grand Final Day (and the day after) a public holiday.
All schools and workplaces should make every Friday free dress day.
No one at all should have to work on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
Kids should get ‘student discounts’ when buying things after school when wearing their uniform.
Schools should lend students laptop and internet so that they can do most of their work at home.
Everyone should have solar panels installed in their houses (even in old houses).
Everyone should have to use recycled water (water from a bath could be used for the garden).
Every school should serve homemade breakfast/lunch for students that don’t get to have it.
The schools should provide free flu shots for students so that if someone has a cold it doesn’t get
passed through the whole school.
Every school (even small schools) should have a chaplain and a school nurse
By Catie Potter
Students of the week is: Mckayla Lindsay and Tara Lindsay for organising and taking responsibility for lunchtime activities.
