About PRINCE2®
PRINCE2® is a project management methodology
practised and recognised on a worldwide scale.
It’s a clearly defined framework, based on a
published manual, “Managing Successful Projects
with PRINCE2®” - 2017 Edition”.
The PRINCE2® method is composed of 7
themes, 7 principles, and 7 processes that equip
practitioners with the knowledge to manage
projects in a range of environments.
In the updated 2017 edition of the manual,
there is a renewed emphasis on tailoring these
themes and processes to suit the project and
the organisational needs. This tailoring is now
examined at Foundation level, as well as at
Practitioner level.

PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Training
This is a 5-day classroom-based course, led by PRINCE2®
qualified, experienced project management trainers.
Our delivery style is geared towards intensive exam
preparation. The course syllabus follows the requirements
laid down by Axelos, the accreditation body.
While some experience in a project management
environment is recommended, and will be helpful for
completing this course, Axelos do not lay down any formal
eligibility requirements to become PRINCE2® certified.

This is an intensive exam preparation course.
Completing our pre-course familiarisation
reading is necessary before you attend.
You will need to set aside time for pre-course
reading before you attend, and in the evenings
during the course to study and prepare for your
exams.
Our 5-day course format means that you can
concentrate your training into 1 business week,
avoiding the need to fit training into your schedule
for months at a time.

Pre- Course
We will give you access to pre-course familiarisation reading in advance of the course start date. Completing the pre-course reading is important and may impact on your success rate in the exams.
Days 1 - 3
Classroom-based training with our experienced, PRINCE2® certified trainer.
Day 3 - Exam (P.M.) - 1 hour - Pass mark: 55% (33 / 60)
Tests your knowledge of PRINCE2® methodology
Passing is a requirement for progressing to Practitioner Level
Days 4 & 5
Classroom-based training with our experienced, PRINCE2® certified trainer.
Day 5 Exam (P.M.) - 2 hours - Pass mark: 55% (38 / 68)

prepares you to complete the Practitioner exam on Day 5.

By the end of the PRINCE2® Practitioner course, you will be confident in applying and tailoring the PRINCE2® methodology. You will:
Understand the relationships between the roles, management products, principles, themes, techniques, and processes.
Be able to apply the principles, themes, and processes to a case study project (official Axelos approved case study is used).
Be prepared to sit your PRINCE2® Practitioner Exam on the final day of training.

Preparing to Pass
We supply pre-course familiarisation reading
before you attend the course. Completing the
pre-course reading is important, and may impact
your success in passing both exams. You should
aim to schedule approximately 5 - 6 hours for this
in advance of the course (this is only a guide and
may vary from person to person).
It is important that you set aside time in the
evenings during the course (approximately 2 -
3 hours per night) to prepare for your exams.

1-hour supervised exam with 60 multiple choice questions
Closed book exam
55% or higher required to pass
You must pass to progress to Practitioner Level on Day 4
This credential will never expire or need to be renewed.
PRINCE2® Practitioner
Exam is taken on day 5 of training (afternoon)
2.5-hour supervised exam with 68 multiple choice questions

This credential will remain valid for 3 years. After this time, you must either
re-sit the Practitioner exam, or maintain your credential through Axelos
membership.
