Course Overview This is a 5-day course which covers both the foundation and practitioner modules. This course will enable delegates to maximise their own, and their organisation's potential by contributing to projects in an effective way. Delegates will be able to help improve the success rates of projects, through the use of structured disciplines and best practice. Successful completion of this course and examinations will result in the delegate achieving the status of Registered PRINCE2® Practitioner. What You Will Learn This course will enable delegates to understand the PRINCE2® method and will be able to organise, plan and control projects quickly and effectively in accordance with the PRINCE2® Methodology. Senior Managers attending the course will be able to make decisions on project initiation and continuation on the basis of hard facts provided in a structured format. course evenings for revision and preparation for the examinations.

Course Preparation This course is designed to maximize examination success, but also to provide confidence in using PRINCE2®. You will be provided with guidance and examples on the exam formats. The course combines a mixture or trainer led and practical sessions, delivered by an experienced trainer who has firsthand knowledge of working in Project Management. It is recommended that delegates commit up to 20 hours preparing for this course by reviewing and completing the following course preparation materials. This material is dispatched to delegates two weeks prior to the start of the course.

New PRINCE2® 2009 Manual Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®, published by The Stationery Office (TSO), gives the official guidance for the method.

Study Guide & Computer-Based Training CD-ROM Includes an interactive overview of the PRINCE2® process model; Foundation and Practitioner sample exam questions and answers; key learning points.

PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner Event Hand-out Contains individual work enabling delegates to practice the elements contained within the PRINCE2® Method. This hand-out also contains an extensive collection of exam-type questions for those who are a bit rusty at examination technique to get a feel for the type of questions that will be asked. The exercises are designed to familiarise you with the PRINCE2® Manual and to help you understand the PRINCE2® Method in a stimulating and interesting way.

PRINCE2® Practitioner Assistant This booklet provides guidance on the Practitioner exam. Included is a sample scenario with various styles of Practitioner Objective Test questions to help prepare for the Practitioner exam.

Who Should Attend The course is suitable for anyone who wishes to demonstrate a recognised level of competence in Project Management and specifically in the PRINCE2® method. This course is also suitable for anyone with a role in a project managed by the PRINCE2® method.

Duration This course is 5 days in duration and includes the Foundation examination and the Practitioner examination, both of which are taken during the weeks training. The Foundation examination is a 60-minute, closed book exam that takes place at the end of day 3. The exam consists of 75 multiple choice questions. A passing mark of 50% (35/70) is required to receive your certificate. Delegates are only allowed to continue with the PRINCE2® Practitioner module if they have passed their Foundation examination. The Practitioner exam takes place on the fifth day of the course and it is a 2.5-hour open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only). The exam consists of 8 questions. A passing mark of 55% is required to receive your certificate.

Prerequisites There are no mandatory prerequisites. Ideally delegates should have been using PRINCE2® as part of their role.
