Sunday 14 th June Dear children of Year 4, What has happened to the weather this week? Where has all our lovely, sunny, Summer weather disappeared to? We hope it comes back! How have you been finding the home learning this week? We have seen some fantastic poems from you that you completed last week. We loved seeing the powerful vocabulary that you have been including. Keep it up! So what have we got in store for you this week? Well, for History this week, you are continuing with your work on the River Nile; this time, considering why it’s important. Your Oddizzi this week has a section about the Amazon rainforest, but I wouldn’t worry about doing the Rivers part at the beginning of the document because you have already done that part a few weeks ago. 4F did really well on their quizzes again this week. Come on 4E, let’s get you on that leaderboard!! For Literacy, we are continuing with the Hamilton Trust work. Thanks for continuing to send your work in. Your spelling activities are similar; we have created tasks for you to complete on Spellzone, and you have a crossword, wordsearch and countdown-themed word creating activity. We hope that you find it fun to complete. With the English IXL, we would suggest you do D25 and D26 as it is about the present perfect tense. For those of you who enjoy more interactive learning resources and have access to a computer, why not try going to https://kids.classroomsecrets.co.uk/category/year-4/year-4-gps/ . It says log in to play, but you don’t actually have to. It will help you work on your English skills further. They even have some Maths activities that you might like to try! Your reading comprehension is about Howard Carter’s discovery. I wonder if you already know what he discovered? With Maths, we are continuing with White Rose Maths and this week is our final week on fractions before we move on to a different topic. This week, don’t forget, we have our battle of the bands again on TTRS on Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:30. Well done to 4F who won the last battle. Don’t forget to continue working on your science project about animals. All the information you need is on the home learning under the folder Week beginning 01/06/20. What are we missing this week? We are missing reading our class novels to you .

Dear children of Year 4,What has happened to the weather this week?

With Maths, we are continuing with White Rose Maths and this week is our final week on fractions before we move on to a different topic. This week, don’t forget, we have our battle of the bands again on TTRS on Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:30. Well done to 4F who won the last battle.
