• play sessions
• stop smoking services
• health visiting services and clinics offering information and support
• dental and oral advice
• community drop-in sessions for children and carers
• breastfeeding groups
• family learning
• adult education classes and training
• individual support through home visiting.
Westminster Family Information Service (FIS)
The FIS offers advice and information to families with children and young people aged 0-19 in Westminster. Information is available on childcare, out of school care, returning to work and activities.

Westminster Children’s Centres
Why do we have Children’s Centres?Children’s Centres bring together lots of organisations including Westminster City Council, NHS Westminster and voluntary and community partners to give you and your family the best possible services.
The services available at Children’s Centres help children and their families to:
• be healthy
• stay safe
• enjoy and achieve by developing skills and getting the most out of life
• make a positive contribution and get involved with the community
• achieve economic wellbeing.
What is a Children’s Centre?If you have a child aged 0–5 you can receive free parenting support and information at your local Children’s Centre. All of our centres offer:
• childcare and early education
• health services for children and their families
• family support including help with parenting skills
• help to get back to work.

Where are the Children’s Centres in Westminster?There are 12 Children’s Centres in Westminster. The centres are split into three areas: North West, North East and South Westminster. Each area has a main ‘hub’ centre, as well as a number of smaller linked centres.
The map above shows the location of the main sites. Services are delivered from other local venues including libraries, health and family centres, primary schools and community centres. Staff at your local Children’s Centre will be able to tell you where to go to access services in your area.
When can I use Children’s Centres?Children’s Centres are open at least five days a week. Each venue has set opening hours and an activities calendar, so you can plan when you and your family will attend different sessions, depending on your interests. Visit your local centre to find out more.
