Primary and Secondary Packaging Paloma D 3 Feed Placer and Top Loader The Paloma D 3 , featuring the new GD series Delta robot, picks a single or a group of food or non-food products and top loads them into cartons, cases or thermoforms. The products can also be placed directly into the infeed chains of horizontal wrap- pers or side and top-load cartoners for example. The modular Paloma D 3 can be easily integrated with primary or secondary packaging machines, including vertical baggers, case packers and other end-of-line equipment, providing manufacturers with the flexibility to meet changing market needs. Maximum Flexibility The Paloma D 3 platform is highly versatile with a broad application range. The modular design is scalable with 2 and 3 robot modules that can be combined to create 4, 5 and 6 robot solutions. The GD series Delta robot can utilize our complete portfolio of end effectors (+2,000 designs), ranging from designs for mono, multi and reflex-picking. End effectors can be based on vacuum, mechanical, Bernoulli or Venturi principles. Options Vision guidance for quality inspection and picking non-aligned products with precision. A 4 th robot axis can be added for product rotation. A 5 th axis can be added allowing the use of rotate and tilt handling elements. Stainless steel execution (non-washdown) available. Application Information Our Gemini 4.0 hardware and software platform incorporates a virtual machine displayed on the HMI (Human Machine Interface), promoting ease of use and lowering TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). In emulation mode, this valuable tool displays a 3D view of the machine movement and motion cycle in real time. Allowing operators to optimize pick and place patterns and zones in an easy, intuitive way. In simulation mode the machine performance and processes can be simulated offline without the need for physical products. This reduces product waste, decreases set-up and installation times and increases efficiency. The Paloma D3, featuring the new GD series Delta robot, picks a single or a group of food or non-food products and top loads them into cartons, cases or thermoforms.
