Chatot’s PokéParkIntroduction

You’re pretty lucky to have found this book! I like

lucky people, so I’ll share a few special hints with

you about your upcoming adventure.

While fewer Pokémon than normal have visited the PokéPark recently, there are still

many that come to play! Some like to play Chase, battle, or other Skill Games. Others like

to enjoy Attractions such as Bulbasaur’s Daring Dash and Venusaur’s Vine Swing! Thereare lots of different games for you to play!

The PokéPark Is a WonderfulPlace for Pokémon to Play!

There Are Many Different Zones!

Take a look at the map at the beginning of this guide. You’ll see that the PokéPark is divided

into eight Zones. Remember this map, and you can play wherever you want, all day long!

Making New Friends Is aWonderful Thing

When you play in the PokéPark, it’s very important to make friends.

Friends will help you in times of trouble, or when you just can’t do

something by yourself! Speaking to other Pokémon is one way to

befriend them. There are other ways, too! Nobody has ever made

friends with all the Pokémon in the PokéPark, so why not be the first?

Once you’ve become friendswith a Pokémon, it’s possible to

become even closer with it!

Filling up your PokéPark Padis so much fun!

When you’re playing with yourfriends, new Pokémon mayappear!

Sometimes you have to workhard to make friends!

Skill Games Are ParticularlyPopular in the PokéPark

Competing in Skill Games with other Pokémon is popular,

even if you’re already friends with them! There are even

Pokémon that will become friends with you when they see how

good at Skill Games you are, so try your best every time!

Chase is the most popular Skill Game inthe PokéPark. Wait until the start signalappears, then begin chasing!

There are lots of Pokémon that are eager toshow their strength in this Skill Game. Try andhit them with Thunderbolt!

Try jumping at flying Pokémon, but

remember that your best chance iswaiting for them to land!

Dodge your foe’s attacks bypressing left or right on thecontrol pad. Tap it quickly,twice, to move fast!

If you’re just not quite fast enough,you need extra training! VisitPonyta in the Meeting Place. He’llhelp you become quicker.

Chase

Sometimes Thunderbolt isn’t veryeffective, so try using Tackle or

Iron Tail instead.

Battle



Hide-and-Seek is another Skill GamePokémon love to play. Find the hiding

Pokémon, and you’ll win!














Get to your opponent’s location within thetime limit, and victory is yours!

Some Pokémon like to find out how cleveryou are and will challenge you to a Quiz.You’ll have plenty of time to answer. Thinkcarefully!

Calm down, and check which directionyou’re facing by using the button.Hold2 to jump high.

The Pokémon you’re trying to find could behiding almost anywhere! Make sure to lookaround carefully.

If you fail, you’ll be told the answer. You maywant to note it down. You may be asked thatquestion again!

competitions, point-scoring games, and more. If you’re finding an

Attraction difficult, you can ask one of your Pokémon friends for help!

A description of the Attraction will bedisplayed before you begin. Make sure youread it carefully!

Remember, your friendscan compete in yourplace!

Is this your first time in the PokéPark? If itis, I can answer all the questions you have!Well, maybe not all of them... There aresome things even I don’t know!

The PokéPark Entrance

When you’re running around, it’s important to keep an eye on the

map! Your location is marked with a yellow arrow, which points in

the direction you’re facing. If you think you’re lost, check the map!

Making the Most of the Map

The first thing you should do is run to

where I am. Also, be sure to practice

tackling! You’ll find that Berries are very

important, so collect them. Oh, and you’llneed to master Dashing and jumping, too!

Practice MakesPerfect!

Catch Me If You Can!

When the countdown finishes, “Go!” will

appear. That’s when you should begin to

run after me as fast as you can! When

you win Skill Games, the Pokémon you

defeat will become your friend or give you

some Berries! If you want to enjoy the

Attractions or get some training, you’ll

have to pay for it with Berries. So, make

sure to collect as many as you can!

Pokémon that want to talk to you havethree dots above their heads. You should

I’m Chikorita! Where am I?

Oh, dear! Help!

Did I arrive in time?

I was playing with Pikachu, Piplup,

and Charmander. We’ve

known each other for a

long time and have played

together for ages! Today

we ran into a problem,

though. Pikachu fell rightinto a Mysterious Tunnel!

We all jumped in after him, of course, but now it seems we’re all

in different places! Where in the world am I? This place is lovely

and green, but I’m so worried about my friends!

This isn’t good at all!

We were all playing

together when a pink

Pokémon I’ve never

seen before appeared.

I was so surprised that I lost my footing. That’s how Pikachu

fell right into a Mysterious Tunnel! Charmander and I jumped

in after him. I think Chikorita followed us, too. What’s that? I

think I can hear the waves or something...

What’s happening? I think I got hit by something frombehind and fell... Maybe I pushed Pikachu? Before I knew it,

Pikachu was tumbling head over heels into that Mysterious

Tunnel! What? No! Of

course I didn’t do it on

purpose! Why would I? I

was the first to jump in

after him, wasn’t I? Oh no!

What’s that? You came to meet Empoleon?

Bad timing! He’s shut himself up in the

Iceberg Zone and won’t come out! Gyarados

is the Zone Keeper now. He’s fighting with

Feraligatr, though! Oh dear!

Beach Zone

The bridge is broken and Wynaut can’tcross it! Maybe you should return to the

Meadow Zone and talk to the Bidoof abouthelping you rebuild the bridge. If you’renot friends with any Bidoof yet, you couldtry gathering Lumber to help them out.They might like that!

Gyarados will talk to you once you’ve made

more than 25 friends and cleared his AquaDash. Gyarados is on another island, soyou’ll need to gather two bundles of Lumberand ask Bidoof to build you a bridge!

You brought Bidoof here, but he can’t build

you a bridge until you’ve cleared Pelipper’sCircle Circuit! You can’t fly, so you’llneed to ask one of your flying friends toparticipate in your place!

When you pass between the Flag, you’llspeed up for a short time! Just in front of thefinish line are two sets of these Flags. Makesure to pass between them for that last burstof speed!

When there are two or three differentpaths, you can use the Flags aslandmarks. That makes things easier.When you reach the first place wherethe path branches in three directions, Irecommend taking the middle route!

If you memorize the location of theFlags and curves, you’ll be able to passthrough them that much easier. Justkeep trying!

Leave all your questions about battles to me! I’mPrimeape. Strong opponents are strong to theend, so Pokémon like you will get nervous! Themost important thing for you to do is calm down.Once the battle has begun, run around youropponent, and memorize its style of attack.

If you wait too long, your opponent will coun-terattack with Earthquake or another attack.So, once you’ve hit him, get away fast! Then,once your opponent has stopped attacking,you can Tackle him again. If you keep up thispattern, you are sure to win. Refuse to give

I dropped into the Beach Zone, andCharmander arrived in the LavaZone. It’s good that we finally goteveryone together! Now I can relaxand begin repairing the Balloon.

I’m so relieved that I’ve found every-one! Pikachu must be a real hero ifBlaziken is entrusting the PokéParkto him! I’ll try to be that reliable,too. Yes, that’s right, it’s thanks toBlaziken that I was reunited witheveryone! It seemed as if I was go-ing to fall into the lava, and Blaziken

You can pick an opponent!You don’t even have to havecleared the Attraction!

When you play the Attractionany time after you’ve clearedit, your opponents will vary!

When you start, shake the Wii Remote hard. You’ll fly over one set of ropes. After that, don’t

shake the Wii Remote, and you’ll swing from rope to rope in succession. This is a reallyquick way of completing Tangrowth’s Swing-Along. Just make sure to time your jumps well!

There are a total of eight ropes. Swing wide and

jump far, and you’ll fly to the next rope! It doesn’tmatter how much you shake the Wii Remote.

This is a bit tricky, so take your time, jump at the

right moment, and try to keep it simple!

Now that the Tree Houseis finished, I’ve decidedto help out Piplup andCharmander. We’vedecided to go to the

Haunted Zone together.While Piplup is off looking for cloth, I got thread from Spinarak.Spinarak is really good at making thread, but the thread I got becameso sticky that it was really difficult to handle! Spinarak will bring morelater, but maybe I’ll ask someone else...

We all went to theHaunted Zone to get clothand thread. Soon weshould be able to fix theBalloon!

That’s right, Gliscor in

the garden in the Haunted Zone is really good at catching the wind andflying! I wish I could be like that. I don’t just want to fix the Balloon; I wantto ride the wind! That’s why I’m studying, you see. I think I’ll ask Drifblimfor tips later.

Chikorita and Piplup both have

something to do, but I don’t, so

I’m a little bored. Mind you, I’ve

Promise Gate. You know you’re going to

It’s really difficult to have a battle in a tight

space, but do your best. Blastoise will

shoot twice in a row. You can dodge by

jumping. When the first shot is about to hit

you, jump. When you’ve dodged the second

shot, hit Blastoise with Thunderbolt!

The most basic part of Absol’s HurdleBounce is simple. Shake the Wii Remotehard at the beginning to start fast. Keep jumping those hurdles, and you won’thave to shake the Wii Remote to speedup. If you hit something, you’ll slow

down, and then you’ll have to shake theWii Remote a lot to speed back up!

Each Pokémon has a different style of jumping. Some jump low but far, and some jump high but only a short distance. Try and remember each Pokémon’s style!

Catch the Rainbow-Colored Rings!

It’s All in the Jump!

You’ll start at Rayquaza’s tail.The yellow rings are worth 100points, the red ones are worth300 points, and the rainbowones are worth 1,000 points.Do everything you can tocatch the rainbow rings!

Rings that are high up can be reached by jumping. When you’re not sure how high upthey really are, take a look at the shadowson the ground and compare them with thedistance to the rings. That should give you

a pretty good idea! Jumping is the easiestway to reach the moving rings.

If you run into Voltorb orElectrode, you’ll lose 300points! You can try anddodge them by jumping outof their way. Unfortunately,Mamoswine and Rhyperiorwon’t be able to dodge

Electrode at all! Keep an eye on Electrode’s shape, andmove quickly—that’s your best hope for success!

In places where the Rayquaza Balloon isslowly spinning, it may seem that you’regoing to fall! If you’re starting to getclose to the edge, keep jumping forwardto get out of trouble!

Keep Your Eye on the Prize!

Learn the Patterns!

Once you get to Rayquaza’s head, aim withthe Wii Remote, and shoot at the targets.Blue targets are worth 100 points, redtargets are worth 300 points, and goldtargets are worth 1,000 points. Try focusingon the gold targets, and do your best to hitevery one of them! Be careful, though; if youhit a target marked with an X, you’ll lose 300

points. If you hit a target right in the center,you’ll receive double points!

As time goes on, targets will move fasterand faster. The pattern they appear in willnot change, but it becomes more difficultto hit the gold targets. Aim for the spot

where the targets are clustered. If youdo this, you should be able to hit severaltargets at a time!

Move speed varies fromPokémon to Pokémon.That’s something to thinkabout when challengingthis Attraction!

It’s all been such a blur! At first I

didn’t know what was going on. Then,

once I had been here for a while, I

decided to build a Tree House!

I had been watching Venusaurworking hard to make his Attraction fun for everyone, and I decided I

wanted to do something, too. He said an Attraction probably wasn’t thebest idea, so I started work on a lovely Tree House for everyone!

Once we’ve gathered all the PrismPieces, we need to take them toMew. I didn’t think there was anyway that my balloon could possiblytake us all the way to the SkyGarden, but it did! I had no idea thatmy dreams would come true! It’s sowonderful to feel helpful!

On the way to the Flower Zone, it looked like we were going to bestopped by the Pokémon in the Granite Zone! When they heard that wewere friends with Pikachu, they just let us pass! Pikachu is amazing!

Finally, we’re ready to take the Prism

Pieces to Mew. This is what we’ve

got to do to help the PokéPark. I bet

Blaziken will be happy!

Before we came to the PokéPark,I always thought I wanted to surprise everyone by becoming reallystrong. But looking at Blaziken giving Prism Pieces to Pikachu, I

realized that what I want is not the most important thing! I know whatI’ll put my efforts into from now on!
