Talks, plays, runs, farm shares and such
Brayden Craig Smith was born on Thursday, July 3rd (a very punctual
individual considering this was his due date!) at 2:55 pm. Weighing in
at 7.3 lbs. and 21 inches long, Brayden is the newest heartthrob of the
Casey and Eric Smith family.
Meredith Gallo announces that Gabriel Maloney Gallo was born August 7 at
4:54 pm. He was 8 lbs. 6 oz. and 20.5 inches long.

Johann Davis (French Creek) and daughter Danielle & Taylor competed in the Iron Girl Triathlon on September 7th in Sandy
Hook, NJ.
Jon Yoder led a group of 33 students on a 2 week tour of Italy and France in June/July. They visited Rome, Florence, Venice, and Paris. Other OJR faculty/chaperones included Amanda Yoder, Brad Lamison (EC), Francesca Alexander (HS), Natalie Smith (HS), J Greene (HS). The picture attached is of the group in Assisi.
Mr. Owen Hamilton, grandson of the late Justice Owen J. Roberts, recently
drove from Vermont to donate 2 trunks filled with memorabilia

Since 2009, Unite for HER has worked to bridge the gap between the medical and wellness
communities by educating women diagnosed with breast cancer about complementary thera-
pies, providing them with a compassionate resource for support, knowledge and healing.
Sue will provide us with ways we can make healthy lifestyle changes
and upgrades in our daily routines that help prevent disease.
We will explore ways to lower the amount of toxins we find in our
food, beauty and household products, helping us to live a CLEAN,
toxin free life.
We will explore:
How to make the switch to Organic
How to navigate the supermarket
Foods that are healing
How to lower the toxins found in beauty products
and tips to upgrade our food choices, one step at a time Sue will also share Unite for HER’s mission an outreach as they continue to serve now over
1000 women through partnerships, helping them restore both physically,
mentally and emotionally

Head out the drive towards Cadmus Road
Right on Cadmus
Right onto Robin Lane (loop in and out)
Right back out on Robin Lane to the intersection of Cadmus/Young
Turn around on Cadmus and run back towards the HS drive
Left into HS drive from Cadmus
Left onto driveway by North Wing (and reveres route back to MS, around to admin, HS
drive by fields)
Turn left onto lower parking lot by stadium
Into stadium track for one loop.

About the Author
Kephart will speak about the place the Schuylkill has in her own imagination, the impact rivers have
on our lives, and the legacy of those who have worked to restore Philadelphia’s essential waterways.
The Schuylkill was named Pennsylvania’s 2014 River of the Year. Kephart’s talk, entitled RIVER
DREAMS: History, Hope and the Imagination, was developed by the author as the keynote address
for the Schuylkill River Heritage Area’s River of the Year Speaker Series.

Kephart is a National Book Award finalist and an acclaimed author
and educator. Her book, Flow: The Life and Times of Philadelphia’s
Schuylkill River, is an imaginative telling of the life of the Schuylkill
River written in short, impressionistic chapters. The book was
published in 2007 by Temple University Press, and was recently
released in paperback.
This event was organized by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area in recognition of the
Schuylkill River as Pennsylvania’s 2014 River of the Year.
