FGF helps Communities and Community Organisations to engage with health and other service providers. Supports communities that do not normally engage with services to overcome issues with confidence, language barriers, stigma, fear, poverty. Engages health services that have difficulty reaching those that are termed as “hard to reach”. Empowers community organisations to address health needs amongst their client group. Outcomes
• 450 people termed as “hard to reach” have received a variety of educational workshops Health Information, Prevention and awareness
• 350 BME Women have been taught how to check for the signs of Breast Cancer
• Referrals have been made to IAPT
• Sign ups to Health Trainer Service
• Signs up to Smoke free service
• 5 to 10 Full health checks per event (dependant on number of nurses)
• Financial Outlay per event £5.00 for Photocopying & CDL / Provider time
