• The past tense of a regular verb is formed by simply adding –ed to the end of the infinitive form.

In Spanish

• The preterite tense of a regular verb is formed by dropping the ar/er/ir from the infinitive of a regular verb and adding the appropriate ending.

• Verbs that end in –car, -zar, -gar have spelling changes in the yo form to preserve pronunciation. All other forms are regular.
