We are the creators and founders of Brooks Empowerment Academy. We are certified Coaches, Master Practitioners and Trainers of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (N.L.P.).

As Brooks Empowerment Academy we serve several different groups; we run workshops and seminars on becoming Mentally & Emotionally Free, we offer corporate trainings on Sales with Integrity, and we are the creators of L.E.A.D. - a Youth Leadership & Empowerment program and summer camp.

Welcome to “30 Days to Empowered Positive Thinking”,

Now that you are familiar with what the Presuppositions of NLP are you can begin putting them to use daily to see how truly powerful they are.

By ingraining them into your thinking on a regular, on-going basis you will begin to shift your perception of the world and you’ll begin to notice how things around you will start to look different. By reprogramming your mind to think in more positive terms you will transform your thoughts and shift how you feel.

You will begin to communicate with yourself and others in a totally different way - and therefore you will achieve completely different results than you ever have. You will remove the “gunk” that’s been fogging up your head and your heart, all that’s been preventing you from taking your ideas and turning them into reality.

If you want to change your life you can’t achieve that by doing the same things and behaving in the same way every day!

This is where this workbook (and we) come in!

By doing the tasks on the following pages every day for the next 30 days you will begin to shift the course of your life. These tasks will only take 20-30 minutes each day and before you know it you’ll be on a completely different path, heading towards completely different outcomes altogether. the results you’ve been trying so hard to achieve will suddenly manifest in your reality easily and quickly!

How to Use This Workbook

Over the next 30 days you will be focusing on one presupposition each day to truly understand its meaning and its power. As you take each presupposition and “test it out in the real world” this workbook will guide you on your journey of gaining new awareness and ingraining this transformative knowledge at the unconscious level.

Set Up for Success

As we teach in our trainings and courses the intention with which you approach anything will directly affect the results you get. To set you off on the most successful 30-day journey as possible begin by setting your intention for the next 30 days. Once you’ve completed this workbook and have done all the daily tasks come back and check your intention in comparison to your outcome. This will truly help you in measuring your success.

Preparation Day

TASK #2: Take a second pen of a different color than the one you used to write with, and circle all the presuppositions you can relate to and can say are already at work in your thinking in your daily life at least to some degree.

Take a third pen of another color and put a star beside each presupposition you feel isn’t as frequently present in your life on a regular basis, the ones you’d like to implement and integrate into your life more. Make sure to put more focus and attention on these in the next 30 days.

TASK #3: Set yourself up for success by setting the intention, and making arrangements if necessary, to begin your day tomorrow with your morning task. As always, if you have any thoughts, insights, questions or ideas come up during this process make sure to write them down in your journal. This is an important and interesting part of your growth and development journey.

Celebrate completing the 30-day training!

Again, go back over the second journal entry and see if there are any further adjustment you’d like to make, now that you have a deeper understanding of the presuppositions.

Again, circle the ones you feel really strongly about and the ones you are now implementing with confidence, and put a red start next to the ones you feel need a bit more practice. Hopefully by now all 14 feel good to you and you are using them all on a daily basis. Of course you can continue beyond the 30 days and keep going over each presupposition one at a time. In fact, we now LIVE by them and notice them at work in our lives on a daily basis! We’ve practiced them SO much with great focus and attention that now they have become absolutely natural.

Journal about how these past 30 days were for you, what did you learn, what insights did you gain, what shifts have you noticed, how do you feel this process could have been improved, and any other thoughts and/or observations that have come up for you.

PRESUPPOSITIONS OF NLP

1. Respect for the other person’s model of the world.

2. Behavior and change are to be evaluated in terms of context and ecology.

3. Resistance in a person is a sign of a lack of rapport. There are no resistant people, only inflexible communicators. Effective communicators accept and utilize all communication presented to them.

4. People are not their behaviors. Accept the person, change the behavior.

5. Everyone is doing the best they can with the resources they have available.

Behavior is geared for adaptation and the present behavior is the best choice available. Every behavior is motivated by positive intent.

6. Calibrate on behavior. The most important information about a person is that person’s behavior.

7. The map is not the territory. The words we use are not the event or the item they represent.

8. You are in charge of your mind and therefore your results. I am also in charge of my mind and therefore my results.

9. People have all the resources they need to succeed and to achieve their desired outcomes.

There are no unresourceful people only unresourceful states.

10. All procedures should increase wholeness.

11. There is only feedback! There is no failure, only feedback.

12. The meaning of communication is the response you get.

13. The Law of Requisite Variety. The system/person with the most flexibility of behavior will control the system.

14. All procedures should be designed to increase choice.
