FCHS Open House Spanish Speaking Families Meetings Ongoing 400 + Parents ate with students this week. Fall Sports: VB – 3-3 in conference, 3rd place.  Districts for VB

are next Tuesday and Thursday. FB – 0-2 in conference with two conference games left.  Those

games go will determine post season for us or not. Girls Soccer - District championship game here 4PM tomorrow

vs Century. Boys Soccer - District championship at Century at 4PM

tomorrow versus Century. XC – Districts next week @ Century H.S.

Test Scores: HIGH SCHOOL: Math - 82.6% of students advanced or proficient. Reading - 92.8% of students advanced or proficient. Graduation Rate - 97.3% (2014 - 96% + 4 FCHS)

JR. HIGH SCHOOL: Math – 86.9% Reading – 93.6% Language – 85.6%

Oakwood/Pioneer: Math – 92.8% Reading – 93.1% Language – 88.2%

Franklin County High School: Math – 83% Reading – 85.6% Language – 75.1%

Sequences to prepare to share with K-12. Jan. 9th - Professional Development Day - K-12 Teams

Jr. High October 30th Community Halloween Carnival - Language Arts Department Technology A Halloween Carnival open to the public and free of charge with some for-cost

activities. Held at PJH and organized by the English department and our new PTO, it would be a chance for the community to come into the school and enjoy an evening of games and entertainment.

*October 9th Book Fair - Library As done every year, proceeds from the book fair go toward the library's budget. All Year Student Council Fundraisers - To Scholarship Students for Incentives *Spirit Shirts (Student-designed shirts sold through the office and worn every

Thursday) Candy Store (During the week of Valentine's, candy sold by the student council in a

corner of the cafeteria) *Data Match (During the week of Valentine's, all students fill out a survey and can

purchase their match for $2) *Spring Fling (Evening dance with a small fee for entry)

Options – Increase Credit Requirements Require “Enrichment Credits” for students with less

than full schedule. Require Early Graduates to exhaust Fast Forward money

before allowed to take reduced schedules. Combination of all 3 options.

Jr. High: January Incentive - Cherry Peak Trip (All Grades) Qualifying students (grades and citizenship from 1st semester)

would pay for their ticket (estimated between $15-20) and a bus pass ($5). Students who qualify but don't sign up to attend would be approached about having the school 'scholarship' them with money raised from fundraisers.

*May Incentive - Lagoon (All Grades) Basically the same as last year and Cherry Peak - Qualifying

students (grades and citizenship from 2nd semester) pay for the ticket and bus pass, and we cover anyone who qualifies but can't afford to come.
