Weather Safe Ltd was one of the sponsors of the event that was considered a great success and attracted over three hundred business leaders in various sectors including agriculture, energy, mining and banking. Among the eminent keynote speakers, speaking on the current business opportunities in Rwanda, there was the Rwanda President Paul Kagame, Department for International Development (DFID) Minister of State, Desmond Swayne, Rwanda Finance Minister Claver Gatete and National Bank of Rwanda Governor John Rwangombwa. During the event, David Mills, CEO at Weather Safe Ltd. addressed the audience by presenting the WeatherSafe Coffee’s satellite enabled solutions for the coffee sector and the focus on Rwanda as technology and knowledge hub in South East Africa. WeatherSafe continues to progress in its ambitious journey to change the way farming is done today. The company’s development in Rwanda is fuelled by the encouraging results from the trials currently undertaken in selected farming areas in the local coffee sector.
