The fourth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship took place at Knockhill over the weekend of 16-18 June. It proved to be a winning event for Jake Dixon. The young RAF Regular & Reserve Kawasaki rider, who had never won a BSB race until now, was victorious in both of the weekend’s races. In the first, he crossed the line ahead of Luke Mossey, riding for the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team, and Shane Byrne of the Be Wiser Ducati Racing Team. In the second, Dixon finished ahead of James Ellison of the McAMS Yamaha team and, once again, Shane Byrne.

PRESS RELEASE Luke Mossey leads the way in the general standings with 141 points, ahead of Leon Haslam with 111. Shane Byrne is third with 90 points and precedes Christian Iddon (86) and Jason O’Halloran (83).

The Supersport 300 championship has come alive, with five of the ten races having taken place so far. All have proved thrilling, with many young riders showing of their talents. The third round took place at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari racetrack in Imola, Italy and saw Spaniard Marc Garcia triumph ahead of Italian Alfonso Coppola and Ukraine rider Mykyta Kalinin.

PRESS RELEASE In the next race Donington Park in the UK, it was Spaniard Mika Perez who crossed the line first, in front of Garcia and Dutchman Scott DeRoue who won at both Aragon and Assen.

PRESS RELEASE The fifth and central round of the championship took place at Misano Adriatico, and was won by Perez, who preceded local riders Armando Pontone and Coppola. Deroue leads the way in the championship, having earned 75 points. Perez is second (72) and Garcia third (65). They are followed by Coppola (57), Sanchez (48) and Loureiro (46).

Can Öncü dominated the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup qualifying and races at Assen. In the first race on Saturday, the thirteen-year-old Turkish rider started from pole position and won with a decent margin. Japanese rider Kazuki Masaki scored a great second place, leading an amazing group of 12 riders. Spaniard Aleix Viu came home in third place. Can Öncü also won Sunday’s race ahead of Spaniard Alex Viu. Third place for Kazuki Masaki. In the championship standings, it is Viu who leads the way with 72 points, closely followed by Oncu on 66, and Masaki with 63. Skinner (43 points) and Bonoli (37) are a little further off, lying in fourth and fifth place respectively.
