“POPE FRANCIS MINUTE.” For Immediate Release: May 13, 2014Contact: Garrett Johnson, Catholic-Link’s English page administrator, +39 3662021559, [email protected]

Catholic-link.com has recently launched the first chapter of its new animated series dedicated to the pontificate of Pope Francis. The name of the series is "Pope Francis Minute" and it will be a bilingual production (English & Spanish). Its goal is to transmit the Church's message, as taught through the message and testimony of the Holy Father, to the center and to the peripheries of the digital continent.

Based and inspired on the sayings and writings of the Pope Francis, each episode will consist in imaginary encounters and situations in which then Holy Father and his messages are able to touch the hearts and change the lives of those who benefit from it. The "Pope Francis Minute" was conceived for the web. It is brief and looks to deliver a clear and edifying message by inserting his message into colorful and daily situations.

A new episode will be published every three weeks (or less) on the Catholic-Link website, on the Catholic-Link fan page, and, finally, on a new fan page created especially for the series: Pope Francis Minute.

Pope Francis Minute is edited by Canva Ma, a talented young student from Ecuador who works for the Catholic-Link team. He is accompanied by Javier Jep, who is a young Peruvian that works as the illustrator. The writer and producer is Garrett Johnson, the director of the English webpage. The general director and executive producer is Mauricio Artieda.

Editor’s note: Catholic-link.com is a bilingual webpage that seeks to organize, store, and share audio-visual resources for Catholic apostolate. Currently, the team consists in over 40 young Catholics

from various countries: USA, Great Britain, Peru, Argentina, Guatemala, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Chile and the Philippines. While the great majority of the published material derives from other sources, Catholic-Link has begun to produce its own creations. The most significant work has been our video about Pope Francis, which was released a few months after his election. It was translated into 20 languages and shared by countless news agency and webpages, both Catholic and secular: CNN, Vatican Insider, Catholic News Agency, Catholic.org, just to name a few.
