PRESS RELEASE AFTER SHOW
10 JULY 2017
A 23% INCREASE IN VISITORS ANDA SELECTIVE OFFER FROM 90 EXHIBITORS:
BLOSSOM PREMIERE VISION EMERGES
AS THE LEADING EVENT FOR CREATIVE PRE-COLLECTIONS
This past 5 July, an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism prevailed at the Palais Brongniart in Paris as BLOSSOM PREMIÈRE VISION closed its doors on two days of productive work and discussions.
Launched one year ago by the PREMIÈRE VISION group, the show dedicated to pre-collections is today part of a positive dynamic confirming its legitimacy and the coherency of its strategic positioning, both in terms of its offer and calendar:
• An international offer from 90 exhibiting companies – 62 weavers, 22 tanners and 5 accessory and component manufacturers - an offer enriched and adapted to the exclusive needs of major fashion house ;
• Targeted, extremely high-quality visitors up by 23%: 1,058 visitors vs. 861 in July 2016;
• A show timed to be consistent with the calendar of first collections (pre-collections), and complementary to the Première Vision Paris* calendar, which targets main collections ;
• An effective event, designed to evoke an intimate showroom conducive to creative interaction and discussion, to allow buyers to work with their usual suppliers while taking the time to discover new ones ;
• A unique, prestigious venue in the heart of the world’s fashion capital, ideal for luxury - and often Paris-based - fashion houses, yet also central and inspiring for international high-end brands.
* PREMIÈRE VISION PARIS : 19, 20 & 21 September 2017 – Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte
« BLOSSOM PREMIÈRE VISION rose to the challenge! Our exhibitors
are more than satisfied with this edition. They were able to meet
with their key customers in a working yet friendly atmosphere.
The show is now firmly part of the calendar at major fashion houses. Pre-
collections are most definitely a creative period on their own, independent of
the international catwalk shows. Yet in a similar vein, they rely on creativity
to stand out and be competitive.
Today, a pre-collection can represent up
to 60% of the season’s turnover. They are
of major importance to the luxury brands,
to which Blossom Première Vision has
responded with this custom offer, in
a timeframe that’s complementary to
the Première Vision Paris shows,» said
Guglielmo Olearo, Show Director.
RISING NUMBERS OF QUALITY VISITORS
Over 2 days, BLOSSOM PREMIÈRE VISION welcomed 1,058 visitors from the most prestigious fashion and luxury houses, who came to discover and source new product developments and the latest fabric and colour innovations to build their pre-collections.
Targeted by the show’s organisers for their high creative and quality positioning, the number of visitors rose by 23% (up from 861 visitors in July 2016), and brought together leading French fashion houses (80% of visitors), as well as a growing percentage of leading international brands (20%).
Following France, Italy had the 2nd largest number of visitors, with attendance up by 3.5 % over July 2016. In 3rd place, visitors from the United Kingdom also saw a strong increase (+ 26%), while the United States (4th) and Belgium (5th) - both particularly important in terms of creative fashion - each showed a stable but significant presence.
