Cristino Panlilio, Undersecretary for the Department of Trade Industry, will provide government perspective at the Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation CSR Academy’s “Social Media Workshop for CSR Practitioners”, to be held this January 7, 2013, from 7am to 5pm at De La Salle University. Speaking at the morning session, Mr. Panlilio will talk about “Government Perspective and Support for Social Media”. This allows the Workshop’s participants to have a glimpse of how government authorities give importance and support to social media strategies, which have proven to be vital in interacting with Filipino citizens effectively. Acknowledged in the private sector for his excellence in marketing management, Mr. Panlilio heads the Trade and Investment Promotions Group (TIPG) which makes him the “Chief Commercial Marketing Officer” of the country. Before being involved in government service, Mr. Panlilio was involved in utility companies, food, and baking sectors. He was also a recipient of the AGORA Award for excellence in marketing management, given by the Philippine Marketing Association in 1990.
