Press Note on DG Visit at ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana

Honorable Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research

and Education (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare) & Director General (Indian Council

of Agricultural Research) have visited ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana on 17th October 2017 along with

Dr.B.S.Dhillon Honorable Vice-Chancellor, PAU, Ludhiana, Dr.Swapan K Datta Ex-DDG

(Crop Science), ICAR, Dr.K.Alagusundaram, DDG (Engg.), ICAR, Director, ICAR-IIMR and

Director, ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana. Dr.R.K.Gupta, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, welcomed all the

dignitaries. All the CIPHET developed machineries, technologies and other pilot plant were

demonstrated to the team. During the visit, DG,ICAR interacted with the trainees of ICAR-

CIPHET for their interests and scope of post-harvest technology for doubling their farm income.

Amid the visit, DG, ICAR inaugurated International Training Complex at ICAR-CIPHET,

Ludhiana and launched CIPHET mobile App. After the visit, the DG, ICAR interacted with all
