A COMMITTED PARTICIPANT IN DEBATES REGARDING EMPLOYMENT

Founded in 2007, Jobijoba is based in Pessac, in the Aquitaine region in the south west of France. In 2010, the company received an investment of 1 million euro from the venture capital firm Newfund, in order to accompany its development. Directed by its founder Thomas Allaire, Jobijoba currently has 35 collaborators, principally advanced technological profiles, business developers and more atypical profiles: data scientists (PhDs in statistics or information technology), industrial-organizational psychologists… The team is made up of seven different nationalities with an average age of 29. Jobijoba has been showing a growth rate of 50% per year for the last five years.

As a computer and statistical engineer, Thomas Allaire is regularly called upon to participate in national debates regarding employment and digital technology. In 2014, he participated in the “Employment” workshop set up for the mission regarding the digital transformation of the French economy entrusted by the French Ministry of Economy to Philippe Lemoine, pres ident of the LaSer group. He has participated several times in discussions with the Council of Orientation for Employment and also collaborates with think tanks such as Institut de l’Entreprise (Institute of the Company) and Terra Nova regarding employment. In November 2015, he made a presentation on the potential of big data in the employment domain dur ing the #Noé conference organized at the Bercy Arena in Paris by Emmanuel Macron.

STUDIES AND BAROMETERS

In 2014, Jobijoba launched the Regional employment barometers, a series of studies aiming to present a faithful image of the current situation of paid employment (online) in a given region: the number of employment offers, their location, the sectors offering opportunities and, within those sectors, the most sought-after careers, oversaturated areas, applicant profiles…
