88 years of innovation and know-howPresto® was founded in 1927 by André and Lucien Patient and is specialised in the design and manufacture of tapware and accessories for washrooms of public and commercial establishments. Presto® is a family group currently managed by the third generation and includes two companies: Presto® providing tapware for public places and Sanilab® for healthcare establishments and laboratories.

An R&D department at the service of water and energy savingsThe founders worked closely with the main players in the trade and with building professio-nals with the initial purpose of protecting water resources while offering real solutions to cater for users’ growing requirements and avoiding energy wastage.

Presto® Group’s early and dynamic research and development policy resulted in quickly becoming the leader, and even a precursor in its field by creating products that have left their mark in the history of French tapware.

The Group designs and produces solutions sui-table for all collectivities, establishments open to the public, healthcare establishments and labora-tories. It strives to provide products that encou-rage water consumption control, disabled access and compliance with health and safety standards.

The acquisition of Sanilab® (ex FLMG Group) in April 2013 makes the Presto® Group not only the specialist in public establishment washroom equipment but also a recognised expert in health-care tapware. Presto® Group is the only French industrial able to offer a global solution for rooms, technical areas, public washrooms, laboratories, professional kitchens and treatment rooms.

Quality at the heart of productionPresto® timed tapware is manufactured using premium quality materials and is fitted with a mechanism that is unique to the market, gua-ranteed 10 years, and for which Presto® has an exclusive patent. Furthermore, the «Presto® La-bel» is the guarantee of faultless quality and tech-nical and commercial follow-up both before and after the installation.

timed flow tapsPresto® self-closing taps avoid negligent water wasting, vandalism or the intensive use that tra-ditional taps are not designed to withstand.

Thanks to an automatic self-closing mechanism, Presto® taps make it possible to make substantial water savings of 60 to 90% in public premises along with significant energy savings, especially in shower areas.

The taps are fitted with a factory adjusted flow regulator that can only be adapted by the instal-ler or the site manager depending on their use (washbasin, shower, etc.), thus providing an ideal compromise between comfort and savings. Fur-thermore the S® Anti-blocking system invented by Presto® prevents water from running conti-nuously if the push button is deliberately jammed.

Optimum ease of use and hygieneAll Presto® self-closing taps are available in se-veral ergonomic versions adapted to all types of users including children and the elderly: extended handle, foot or knee control, temperature limiter...

These taps also have several high performance hygienic features:

→ The self-closing feature means that users do not need to touch them once their hands are clean;→ Their ergonomics and design make them easy to clean;→ Their internal parts are manufactured in Hostaform®, a material that limits the spread of germs and withstands high temperatures (up to 75°C). One of the advantages of this is that traceable and programmed anti-legio-nellosis thermal shocks can be used without altering the operation of the tap.

Robust vandal-proof tapsBecause Presto® taps are mainly used in was-hrooms in public and private establishments, they have been designed to be effectively vandal-proof.The flow straighteners and internal mechanisms used to control the flow are built into the structure and can only be accessed for service. The non-ro-tating buttons avoid wear on the internal parts.Depending on the application and the degree of vandalism, concealed or cross partition taps have exceptional properties and are especially suitable for sensitive sites.

Unequalled durability and reliabilityThe Hostaform® internal parts on Presto® tapware are especially resistant to corrosion and limescale.These taps are also fitted with a self-cleaning stainless steel needle and a calibrated wear-proof synthetic ruby guaranteeing constant timed flow over time. Each time the tap button is used the needle cleans the water passage and prevents the system from blocking.

At each step in their manufacture the taps are sys-tematically checked and tested to guarantee their reliability and service life. The main products are NF certified guaranteeing 500,000 unaltered uses.

Easy installation and simplified maintenanceEach establishment has its own specificities and requirements. Presto® provides a prescriber as-sistance service to help professionals select sui-table tapware.

Presto® tapware is delivered to the contractors with detailed, illustrated assembly instructions and is easy and quick to install. The completely interchangeable upper parts (cartridges + button) make it possible to service the taps without repla-cing the body or dismantling the tap.

Innovating, bespoke solutionsWhatever the context, Presto® group puts its expertise at the service of its customers to offer the product and solution best suited to the surrounding environment.

The most striking example of this approach was the invention of the self-closing push button tap in 1927 and its use in many pu-blic establishments.

Presto® created a gesture, a reflex and expectations with this product: pushing a button to open the tap and waiting for the water to stop running automatically.

Sensitive tapwarePresto® Touch has a Start/Stop function used to optimise the amount of water used. The water starts running by simply brushing the button and stops automatically after a programmed interval of time or by brushing the button again.

The Presto New Touch® sensitive tap won the Eneo d’Or award in the Water & Design cate-gory at the Eneo 2011 Energy, Air conditioning and water show, and the «Recommanded by professionals building 2015» label in France by Sageret.

ADVANTAGES:→ Sensitive based tapware is especially suited for use by the disabled and children: little strength is required but the reflex to close the tap remains.→ Sensitive based self-closing taps have an overflow security mechanism. In the event of a power cut the tap shuts off automatically.→ this type of tap is interchangeable with all existing types of installation.

Electronic tapwareThe Presto® electronic sensor tapware delivers exactly the right amount of water required for each use. The water runs without any contact with the tap as soon as the hands are detected and then stops automatically when they are removed.

ADVANTAGES:→ the absence of contact guarantees total hygiene.→ the automatic shut off in the event of a power failure or the obstruction of the cell is a true overflow safety mechanism.→ electronic mixer taps are fitted with an anti-scalding safety system which limits the temperature of the mixed water to the re-quired value.→ this technology is interchangeable with all types of tapware.→ the flow regulator is set to 3 litres per minute.

EDUCATION→ Nursery schoolWhen children go to nursery school they are clean, it will be their first independent expe-rience of washrooms in a public establishment. Habits such as using the flush, washing hands and not wasting are part and parcel of learning good manners and cleanliness.

TRANSPORT→ Service-stationsIn the wake of major changes, motorway ser-vices have become infrastructure in which hy-giene has become essential. Washrooms suffer intensive use and must be faultless at all times.

Disabled accessFor over ten years now, Presto® has given special attention to providing solutions to promote disabled access in healthcare establishments and elsewhere, thereby helping establishments comply with the new 11 February 2005 disabled Act decrees in France for instance.

Enacted on 17th May 2006, this decree implements the principle of accessibility for all in all public and residential buildings, whatever type of handicap the person may have, and must make it possible for all disabled people to go about their daily lives and parti-cipate in social activities as independently as possible.

Presto® proposes specific washbasin tapware de-signed for the disabled: from long levered mixer taps to electronic taps, a tap for each use.

For washbasins, toilets or showers, Presto® has designed the Presto® Packs®, disabled access so-lutions in line with the new regulations, making it possible to upgrade to compliance simply using a single reference which groups together a set of ready-to-install washroom equipment. Depending on the type of installation there are several sup-port rail lines ranging from 304 L grade stainless steel to antibacterial coating.

Professional kitchen tapwareThe Presto® Maestro® line offers a range of mixer taps specially designed for use in professional kitchens. The hand spray is fitted with a shock-proof tip and designed for extensive freedom of movement. There is also a line of universal complementary accessories for all this tapware.

Sanifirst®, hospital tapwareSanifirst® is the Sanilab® brand for healthcare es-tablishment tapware. Sanifirst® proposes highly technical tapware solutions to meet hygiene and safety requirements in a medical environment.

The design and modularity of Sanifirst® brand solutions make them ideal for technical rooms (clean rooms, anaesthesia and intensive care), treatment rooms and hospital, clinic and elderly care establishment accommodation.

The specialist in healthcare establi-shment and laboratory tapwareSanilab® became part of the Presto® Group in April 2013. Previously known as FLMG Group, Sanilab® is the specialist in «Healthcare» tapware (Sanifirst® brand) and leader on the laboratory tapware market (First Labo®). Its production site is in Gond-Pontouvre (near Angoulême - France).

SitesAfter first being established in the Pigalle district of Pa-ris (France), the company rapidly moved to Montrouge (92). After the Second World War the production site was moved to the Charente-Maritime region (17).At first it was located in Royan town centre before being moved to Saint-Georges-de-Didonne in 1973 due to a lack of space following its strong growth. Today the com-pany headquarters are still in Montrouge and the factory in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne covering about 7,000 m².
