The Standards of Excellence Program at Clemson aims to challenge the fraternity/sorority community membership to live up to those highest values and ideals upon which our respective organizations were founded.

By providing a set of standards that reflect these common values, the Standards of Excellence Program provides a level of accountability, with an opportunity to seek distinction. In the end, the goal of the Standards of Excellence Program is simple. As members of fraternities and sororities, we should provide excellent leadership, scholarship, service and social opportunities and better prepare members to make significant contributions beyond the undergraduate experience

HAZING - SOUTH CAROLINA LAW

•“Hazing” means •the wrongful striking, laying open hand upon, threatening

•Hazing at all state supported universities, colleges, and public institutions of higher learning is prohibited. When an investigation has disclosed substantial evidence that a student has committed an act or acts of hazing, the student may be dismissed, expelled, suspended, or punished as the president considers appropriate.

Page 20: PRESIDENTS MEETING January 6, 2014. Welcome Kid President Video can be found here: gQLqv9f4o

Clemson University’s core values are Integrity, Honesty and Respect. Hazing is not consistent with these core values. Therefore, all Clemson University community members/organizations are expected to refrain from hazing.

Hazing is any situation created or action taken—for the purpose of initiation, admission information, affiliation with or as a condition for continued membership in an organization (criteria to follow).

Hazing can be intentional or unintentional, and can occur with or without consent.
