out the front door, to the car, and drove home. So, I can only repeat the rumor thatMr. Keating’s presentation and Q&A session were very good. I owe some thanks tothe other NOMADS officers for helping out.

Next week we are very happy to host His Excellency, Consul General of Norway,Jostein Mykletun. I think it should be a fascinating meeting. His Excellency isexceptionally scientifically-minded, having served on numerous boards and councilshaving to do with the North Sea Offshore resources, besides serving in numerousposts in the Norwegian government. His presentation takes place next week,Tuesday the 9th, same time, same place.

The next meeting will be in August when we award the scholarships and host theDutch offshore drilling company, Huisman Global Services, recently featured in WorldOil. And in the fall, we have the Golf Tournament to look forward to on October23rd. Be sure to put it all in your calendars.

Till then, Happy Father’s Day, Happy 4th of July. Keep cool and dry.

It is now June, and that evidently means monsoonseason has arrived. It is also time for scholarshipapplications to start pouring in. But it seems we haveshallow pool so far this year. So, if you have thought toyourself, “I love my boy, but he is not exactly ascholar. In fact, he reminds me of Huck Finn minusHuck’s respect for authority and formal schooling. Nochance he’ll win a scholarship or attend that laudedtractor-repair technical school up at CollegeStation.” But I’m here to tell you, think again. He justmight! Deadlines are June 30th. Tell Junior to get his acttogether, get his application in pronto and we’ll do ourpart to have him wearing maroon and hooting in notime. We had a well-attended meeting last month whenwe hosted Kayden’s Brad Keating. As some of you know,I was feeling a little under the weather before themeeting.
