President

JENNIFER PUCCETTI ’89

It has been an honor to serve as President of the Alumni Board for the past two years. Volunteer work has been an important part of my life since leaving Emmanuel in 1989. In the early 90s, I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic and also as a Crisis Corps volunteer after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast. I served as chair of 90K…It’s All About Time, a yearlong community service initiative to celebrate Emmanuel’s 90th anniversary and to engage members of the extended Emmanuel community in volunteerism. I hope to continue to build on these experiences to strengthen the work of alumni around the world.

Vice President

SUZANNE WENZ ’94

For the past four years, it has been a pleasure to serve on the Emmanuel College Alumni Association Board. My professional background in strategic communications and media relations at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has provided me with valuable skills and a global perspective that carries into my volunteer work, including that of the board. I have enjoyed working with the talented group of individuals on the board and have found the connection with the College to be extremely rewarding. Emmanuel, and the lifelong friends I made there, has been an important part of my life and I am looking forward to another term of giving back.

Secretary (one-year term) JUDY CAMPBELL ’71

During the past two terms of serving on the Alumni Board, I have served as the liaison from the board to the College Career Center, helped at reunion weekends, spoke at graduate and undergraduate networking events, participated in mock interviews and resume reviews for undergraduate students, attended job fairs, and most recently chaired the Communications Committee of the board. Reaching out and engaging more alumni is what we endeavor to do and there are more things we want to accomplish. The board members are an amazing group of people and it has been a pleasure to work with all of them. It would be a privilege to serve as an officer in the role of Board Secretary in the coming year.

Director-At-Large

MELISSA ABREU ’10

As a young alumna still living in the Boston area, I can provide unique insight into the value of an education at Emmanuel. I also bring to the table my experience at one of the fastest growing companies in New England, and welcome the chance to talk to current students about what it takes to be hired in an extremely competitive market. My post-grad involvement with the College has come in the form of an a cappella singing group, Fermata Town, a group created by a team of young alumni. Through Fermata Town, I have been able to maintain contact with a large group of alumni and have had the unique pleasure of performing at many events hosted at or by Emmanuel.

If I were elected, I can offer my motivation, diligence and vibrancy to the board. I rely on my motivation and enthusiasm to help me grow and learn in any work environment. Secondly, my work is a representation of myself; therefore it is important that I unfailingly show my attentiveness to detail. I learned quickly that your attitude is infectious. A consistent high morale will only help us engage the young alumni community. I have returned as a guest panelist for open house discussions and served as a speaker for the Nia retreat. I am never away from Emmanuel. I always return home, one way or another.

I am the President and Co-owner of Summit Press Inc.; a family-owned commercial printing company located in Chelsea, MA. I am passionate about bringing alumni together to foster and renew relationships with each other and with the College. I feel the communication and business skills I have acquired from running a small business for almost 20 years can support and complement the agenda of the Alumni Board. I am committed to listening, finding solutions and taking action to help continue to build a strong and active alumni community. I have had the honor to serve as Director-at-Large on the Alumni Association Board from 2010 – 2012. While on the board, I volunteered at many wonderful events including Reunion Weekend, John and Abigail Adams “Love Letters” and the Ansel Adams “At the Water’s Edge” exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum. I would love the opportunity to return to the Board and be proud to work alongside such a talented and dedicated alumni community.

JEFF JOSEPH ’07

Bridging the relationship gaps among graduates of the last decade, present-day Emmanuel and the larger Emmanuel alumni population is my newfound passion. After serving one term as a Director-at-Large, I have developed a strong sense of how to be a supportive, dedicated and, ultimately, impactful teammate. Utilizing my experience with program design, I plan to help transform the landscape of alumni engagement.

MAURA KAZOREK ’94

I have worked in the Office of Admissions at Emmanuel College since 1995. After attending Alumni Weekend last year, I decided I want to give back to Emmanuel in a different way so I decided to run for the Alumni Board. I am the proud mother of two children who are involved in many activities. Because of their involvement, I have also become very involved. I have been a member of Indian Brook Elementary School PTA, Plymouth, MA, since 2006 and have helped start and run a recycling program that has raised over $1,000. I have also been elected a member of the School Council. I look forward to being given the opportunity to give back to Emmanuel!

MELISSA TREMBLAY BRIMMER ’97

I consider myself a “double Saint,” receiving two degrees from Emmanuel – a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies/History in 1997 and a Master of Arts in Teaching in 1999. I have used these degrees in my work as a Special Educator in the Cambridge Public Schools. Since graduation, I have stayed involved with the College as a class correspondent, a member of GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) helping to plan events for young alumni, and served on the 5, 10 and 15 year Reunion Committees. In 2013 I worked with Alumni Relations to organize a special dinner during Reunion Weekend for graduates of the 1990s. This was an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with classmates from different years during that decade, and provided graduates a chance to see how the College has grown but still has the small campus feel. Emmanuel’s core value of serving the community, deeply rooted in the tradition of the Sisters of Notre Dame, was something I saw and lived out during my time as an Emmanuel student. Through the position of Director-at-Large on the Alumni Board, I can continue that tradition of service by giving back to my alma mater.

Choosing the right college can be difficult, but my decision was a bit easier than most. A 1982 graduate of the College, I came from a long line of Emmanuel graduates. My mother, great aunt, godmother and sister had all passed through that beloved campus before me. Since my time there, I also witnessed the next generation of Emmanuel graduates as my niece earned her degree as well. It would be both a privilege and an honor to serve as Director-at-Large on the Emmanuel College Alumni Board and I relish the opportunity to further give back to the institution that gave me so much. Since graduation, I have harnessed valuable skills as a wife, mother and currently as a Vice President of Sales at HP Hood LLC. Thank you for your consideration of me in this role.

JUDY CHADWICK LEBLANC ’64

I am currently Vice President of the Alumni Board. I would like to remain on the Board to continue working on key initiatives, especially those addressing alumni awareness of and involvement with the College. I became involved as a committee member for my 40th reunion, for which I received the “outstanding reunion leader” award. I have served on the Nominating Committee, chaired the boards volunteer efforts for Reunion Weekend and led a board effort to restructure the content of the alumni pages of the College website. I was also one of the core team members of the 90K initiative, which attracted more than 600 alumni to contribute service hours in honor of Emmanuel’s 90th anniversary. I am a member of the College Career Services task force and my class’s 50th reunion committee. I would love the opportunity to serve again.

Professionally, I conduct licensing and quality assurance evaluations for the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Disabilities. I have a Master’s in Public Administration from Bridgewater State University (BSU), a License in Social Work and several other licenses/certifications. My volunteer activities include: serving on the BSU MPA Alumni Board and several committees/boards in the Town of Middleborough, Mass. I also do special needs educational advocacy. Intermittently, I participated in Emmanuel events, including STARS, reunions, and was a Ring Mass speaker. I am running for the Board in order to become more meaningfully involved and use my skills/experiences to give back to Emmanuel College, which helped develop the foundation and values that have guided my adult life.

As Vice President with BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Boston, I have been responsible for managing and maintaining New England-based escrow relationships and for developing new client relationships by coordinating with both internal and external referral sources. Professionally, I bring more than 18 years experience working in Financial Services with specialties in relationship management including financial service companies, educational institutions, 501(c) (3) organizations, healthcare organizations and, most recently, high net worth/banking clients. I have been involved with the Alumni Board in a variety of roles including Vice President, Director-at-Large and Nominating Committee member, and if re-elected, will continue to focus on career development for graduating students by working with the College Career Center, networking with alumni and supporting the strategic long-term plan for the College to continue to thrive.

It is with great enthusiasm that I accepted the nomination for a Director-at-Large position on the Emmanuel College Alumni Board. I attribute much of my current growth and development both personally and professionally to my experience at Emmanuel College. Not only did I receive an education that thoroughly prepared me for a successful future, I was privileged to complete an internship with an Emmanuel alumna, which resulted in a full-time job. It is where I am thriving today after six years. During this time, I have been fortunate enough to be invited back to Emmanuel to share my experiences on student panels and work with EC students who interned at my place of employment. It would be an honor to continue to give back and serve on the Alumni Board as the College continues to flourish.

GRETEL SCHNEIDER ’77

I have been an active alumna of Emmanuel since graduating with a BS in Psychology in 1977. I have been the chair of our class reunion committee several times, attended lectures and events at Emmanuel and in other regions, regularly met with College administrators and interviewed Emmanuel students for employment. Immediately after graduating, I backpacked through Europe and then lived and worked in New York City for 20 years. I was highly motivated to work in the world of magazines as that was a passion I had since I was a teen. This also afforded me the opportunity to live in Manhattan, which is so rich in culture. In 1999, I moved to the Boston area because I wanted to diversify my lifestyle and I had the opportunity to open my own business representing top quality magazines (i.e., The New Yorker, Vogue and Rolling Stone) to advertisers in the New England marketplace. For the past four years I have been a spiritual volunteer in the Massachusetts State Prison System. I have a certain level of pride in achieving success in a variety of ways and I credit that to my Emmanuel experience. Also, my best friends are from Emmanuel. Some of the areas I might offer the board would be my background in marketing; providing ideas to involve alumni with Emmanuel; assisting in implementing a strong and effective communications strategy across classes; and generating new streams of revenue with alumni.
